Once everyone gathered for dinner, Harry started asking questions that no one could avoid now. He was still stressed about seeing Evelyn so sad. He wanted to know what happened to her, but he knew she came out from her parents room, so it was something to do with them.
Or at least that's what he thought. So he knew that whatever was going on with her, she'll have to be the one to tell him.
But there was something else going on, he could feel it in the air. They were hiding something from him and he was tired of being in the dark.
"I don't understand, what's the ministry of magic got against me?"
"Show him." Moody said. "He'll find out soon enough."
Everyone became very quiet at the table, even the twins that were usually loud, stayed quiet.
The Daily Profet was passed on to him and he could read 'The boy who lies' and a picture of him on the front page.
"He's been attacking Dumbledore as well." But that didn't comfort him. If no one believed him nor Dumbledore, then what was the point?
"Fudge is using all his power. Including his influence at the 'Daily Profet'. To smear anyone who claims the dark lord has returned." Sirius explained.
"Why?" Asked Harry, still not understanding what people had against him.
"The minister thinks Dumbledore is after his job." Lupin explained further.
"But that's insane, no one in their right mind could believe Dumbledore-"
"Exactly the point. Fudge isn't in his right mind. It's been twisted and wraped by fear." Lupin interrupted him. "Now fear makes people do terrible things Harry. The last time Voldemort gained power he almost destroyed everything we hold most dear. Now he has returned, and I'm afraid the Minister will do almost anything to avoid facing that terrifying truth."
"We think Voldemort wants to build up his army again. Fourteen years ago, he had huge numbers at his command and not just witches and wizards but all manner of dark creatures. He's been recruiting heavily and we've been attempting to do the same. But gathering followers isn't the only thing he's interested in."
Before Sirius continued, Moody cleared his throat. Harry had a feeling that Sirius wanted to say something else but stopped himself. "We believe Voldemort may be after something."
The tension in the air could be felt with a knife. "Sirius." Moody said interrupting him, but that didn't stop him from continuing.
"Something he didn't have last time."
"You mean... like a weapon?"
"No, that's enough. He's just a boy!" Molly said. "You say much more and you might as well induct him into the Order straightaway."
"Good, I want to join." Harry said. "If Voldemort is rasing an army, then I want to fight."
Sirius looked proud, while the rest were also expecting it, Molly wasn't at all happy.
At that exact moment, however, in came Evelyn and her parents from opposite sides of the room. Harry stood up once he saw her, because for some reason, he thought that maybe he could talk to her now, but he knew better.
She still looked like she's been crying and anyone in the table could notice it.
"Oh, thank you for joining us! Here, you can seat whetever you want." Molly said as different conversations started again
Harry was hoping that Evelyn would sit with him but it was almost as if she was avoiding him, because she sat furthest away from him as she could, beside Hermione.
