Thankfully everything went well after the hearing. Harry was in a better mood and so was Evelyn after talking to Hermione. She was a very good listener and Evelyn truly appreciated Hermione's input to the situation.
It made her feel more confident.
But it did not changed her mind. She can't tell Harry. If it meant that Harry would be safe if anything happened to her, then she won't tell him.
However, she couldn't escape Harry forever. As their parents told her, this bond also meant that even if they fight, they would always miss each other and somehow come back together again. She had to confront him at some point.
She would sort of tell him the truth. Avoiding what they need to do in order to finish it.
"Hey, Eve... now that we finally have some time for each other, I uh- wanted to say sorry. I think all this summer I haven't really been a great uh- b- uh- friend and I'm really sorry. I never even said thank you for saving me and Cedric. I didn't even consider how you must be feeling. I'm really really sorry."
Evelyn smiled a bit at his stressful rant and hugged him. "It's okay Harry. I know it's been a lot for you and I'm glad your not expelled from Hogwarts."
He smiled through the hug, embracing her as well.
"So? Were you able to talk with your parents about- you know, what happened back at the tournament?"
It was now or never. She nodded her head and started explaning how their parents decided to bond them when they were young. "So... that's why you have all of these abilities. But why doesn't it work for me? I mean, why is it that only you know how I feel but I don't know how you feel?"
"They couldn't finish it and they said it was too late to do it now. It's been many years since then and we've changed. So it wouldn't work the same way it did back then." It was a good enough lie.
Harry seemed to understand and everything did make sense after all. "Did you figure out what happened to your dad as well?"
He took it better than she expected it. But then, again, it wasn't the entire truth. If he knew the rest, he wouldn't be so calm.
"Oh Merlin! I was so shocked by the news that I forgot to ask him again what happened!" She said as she stood up from the doorstep, "Do you mind if I go and ask?"
He shook his head but stood up as well "Wait, um before you go anywhere." Evelyn nodded as she waited for him to continue. His cheeks were kind of red. Was he okay? "I wanted to ask if you would- like to go on a date with me?"
Evelyn couldn't help but smile, she was expecting anything but that. Guess he didn't worry that because of the bond, they were feeling this way towards each other. "Yes, I would like to Harry."
He smiled back and hugged her once more, this time a bit longer. "I'm actually happy they decided to bond us. I'm glad to have you by my side."

Evelyn made her way towards her parents that were in the living room with everyone else. They turned around once they felt her presence. "So? Did you tell him?"
She would lie to everyone, saying she did. Just so that she didn't have to give more explanations. "Yes."
"And?"
"We're going out on a date." She said blushing, surprising even herself.
"Aww I'm so proud of you honey." Her dad said as he hugged her.
"Wait, are Harry and Evelyn going out on a date?!" Oh no, no one else was supposed to hear. But of course, George and Fred were there and heard.
Before she or her parents could say anything else, they started to shout it "EVELYN AND HARRY SEATING IN A TREE K-I-S-S-I-N-G!"
"Fred- George- I swear to Merlin-"
"EVELYN AND HARRY SEATING IN A TREE K-I-S-S-I-N-G-"
"Why can't they grow up..." Evelyn said as she shook her head, her dad chuckling as he kissed her forehead.
"They are funny."
"I guess..." Not really, thought Evelyn as she was glaring at them. "Uh, dad, I actually wanted to know what happened to you?"
Evelyn's dad stirred in his seat as he looked at Evelyn's mom. The tension was very heavy once again.
"Well um- Dumbledore have asked us to gain more people to fight against you-know-who but some of these people are not that friendly. I happen to come across some very bad witches and wizards and they did this."
"Oh dad... I'm sorry-" She said as she caressed his face softly.
"Thanks sweety, I'm alright though. Don't worry."
She nodded her head as she hugged him again.
"Is it true? You're finally going out with Harry?" She heard someone asked, interrupting the moment. She separated from the hug as she saw Ron with a very ammused smirk on his face.
"Yes, yes okay? Don't make fun of it."
He put his hands up in the air and Hermione came to smack her on the arm "How could you not tell me!?"
"Sorry! It just happened!"
"Fine... but now we have to see what you'll wear!" She said as she took her by the arm, Ginny following along once she saw them.
"Can I join?"
"Sure! Let's go."
"Guys I don't even know when this date is going to be-"
"Who cares! Better to be prepared for anything." Ginny said as they went up the stairs.
She has blocked Fred and George but they were still singing that song.

It was dinner time and they went downstairs to eat with everyone else. They've been gossiping the whole time in Hermione and Evelyn's room, about boys and all sorts of things.
Evelyn has never felt more content and peaceful than in that moment.
"Girls, nice of you to join us." Everyone was already there. They didn't realize they were late.
"Sorry, got carried away." Ginny said excusing them as they sat down. Evelyn sat down beside Harry by the end of the table.
"Heard that now everyone knows about our date..." Harry whispered in her ear after a while since everyone was engaged in their own conversations.
"Yeah.... sorry about that, George and Fred heard and well-"
"Can imagine what happened next." He interrupted her while shaking his head but a smile was spread on his face. "Would it be okay if our date can be tomorrow? Since in two days we are already going back to Hogwarts?"
"I'd like that."
He smiled at her and kissed her cheek making her blush. She never expected Harry could be so romantic but she was loving it.
