As soon as they breathed at Hogsmeade, a very loud alarm could be heard in the middle of the night. It was dark, way too dark and they could instantly hear people screaming and saying 'where is he?!' 'where are they?!'. Without thinking twice about it, Harry took Evelyn's hand and with Ron and Hermione, they started to run.
They found an old room, that had lots of tables and furnitures covered in blankets, so they hide behind those, trying not to make a single sound. In worst case scenerio, they would get discovered in that single moment and everything they've accomplished, will go to waste.
However, before they could get any more nervous, they were saved yet by the same alarm, distracting the guards that were about to kill them if they were found and left, letting them breathe out what they were holding in.
Knowing it was their only chance, they went for another run, not saying a single word to each other. They kept running, until they turned around to a blocked hallway by a door. "In here Potter." They suddenly heard, turning around quickly. Not really knowing if they could trust this person, the four of them followed through the open door and down to the unknown house.
"Did you get to look at him?" Ron asked Hermione, still in shock. "He looks so much like-"
"I know, Dumbledore." Hermione said and Evelyn agreed. They surely looked alike.
They started to look around the unknown house, not really expecting anything. Evelyn couldn't help but keep looking at a picture of a young women, probably her age. She looked beautiful.
"Harry- I can see you in this." Hermione suddenly said, drawing everyone's attention. They gathered around Hermione and Harry saw that the broken mirror he had, he could see Hermione through it and it was exactly the missing piece in this mirror as well.
"You blody fools. What were you thinking coming here?" The man said as he came down the stairs. "Have you got any idea how dangerous it is?"
"You're Aberforth. Dumbledore's brother." Harry stated as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. For him, it was, but the others were confused. "You're who I've been seen in here." He said as he pointed to his broken mirror. He thought he was watching Dumbledore, but it makes sense. "You're the one who sent Dobby!"
"Where've you left him?" He asked, ignoring everything else he said.
"He's back with Bill Weasley. He wanted to stay there for a bit." Harry said.
"Sorry to hear, I liked that elf. I hope he'll come back whenever he's ready."
"Who gave that to you? The mirror?"
"Mundungus Fletcher, about a year ago." He answered casually.
"He had no right celling it to you- it belonged to-"
"Yes, Albus told me. He also told me you wouldn't like it if you would've find out I had it. But ask yourself, where would you be if I didn't?" That made Harry shut up and deep down, Evelyn knew it was also true. She knows where Harry was coming from, but that man saved their lives thanks to that mirror.
He put some bread and juice in the table, but neither Harry nor Evelyn could think about food. However, Hermione and Ron immediately went for it.
"Have you heard from the others? From the Order?" Hermione decided to ask.
"The Order is finished. You-Know-Who's won. Anyone who says otherwise, is kidding themselves." Evelyn didn't know what to say, but one thing was for sure, this man has been through hell and doesn't have any hope left. It was sad to see him in that state, comparing him to his brother who was always so optimist.
