rock band AU enjoy
Dan was only sixteen, quite young, but he knew how to get around.
One of his friends, Collin, had invited him to go into London for a show. "Oh yeah, just one of my friends. I knew them back in primary school."
So Dan said yes. He didn't know what to expect.
His friends had told him to leave for Collin's house at night, after his parents had gone to bed. Dan laughed; he didn't think his parents would have cared anyway if he had simply walked out the front door.
But he did as he was told. A chilly September night, the clock flashed 19:12. Quietly, Dan lifted the window and ducked out onto the small roof, then jumped into the bushes. "Nice one," he snickered to himself.
Running. Sneakers pounding the pavement in each step. No turning back now...
Street lights searching the shadows, he didn't want to be seen, or be caught. All the years of being ignored or invisible at school finally came in handy.
Everyone was waiting on the front stoop of Collin's house. "We're still waiting for one more."
A few stragglers caught up with everyone, and a mother's borrowed lemon was packed to the brim of ten or twelve teenagers.
"Everyone ready?"
Dan gulped.
It wasn't that long of a drive. Forty minutes after a long and fast drive on the motorway took everyone into the center of London.
Dan stared up at the tall buildings and cathedrals. Stained glass and passerby had never seemed so beautiful until now. There weren't all that many people out on the streets as the sky seemed overcast and threatened rain, but he could still enjoy the little things.
The car parked on a side street full of smoke shops and tattoo parlors. Collin got out of the driver's seat and everyone clambered out of the lemon. Walking towards the club, Dan spotted that there was a bouncer holding the door open with long chains around his neck and a clipboard at his hip. "Hey everyone, c'mon in... make yourselves comfortable."
Everyone was led into a lounge backstage. It was makeshift, just a few couches pushed together in a square with a cooler in the center, but it still looked comfortable. Dan and his friends jumped onto the couch, getting excited. The air was heavy with cologne and cigarette stink. Dan only sat there, twiddling his thumbs and watching the conversation pass him by, all the while wishing he was just back home, sat in front of the TV playing video games.
Suddenly he was jolted out of his boredom by a boy who looked a few years older than him, but much more handsome. "Mind if I join you all?" the stranger asked Dan, and Dan simply nodded. The boy only chuckled. He was thin and pale and absolutely gorgeous, and his blue eyes shimmered like swimming pools in the moonlight. "Oh my God! Are you Phil Lester?!" one of the girls squealed. Phil gave a smirk: "Aye, that would be me." "Can you sign my forehead?!" the girl asked, just as excited. someone else cut her off: "Yeah next I want you to sign my boobs! Real big!"
Phil flashed a smile for his adoring fans. "I'll be here after the show so you guys can check me out after."
Then he turned to Dan, who was still drooling over this magical Phil Lester that had chosen to sit next to him. Him! of all people! Dan still could not believe it. "I'm much more interested, though, in getting to know this cheeky boy." Phil tapped Dan on the nose, and instantly dan's face went red.
"M-my name's Dan," Dan stuttered. Phil smiled, and stretched his arm around Dan. "I quite fancy your Pokemon tattoo... I'm secretly a big fan," Phil said. Dan beamed; finally, someone here who could relate to him!
"Yeah, I r-really like it. the game's f-fun," he said. shit. Dan mentally cursed at himself for tripping over his words. Phil proceeded in a husky voice to tell Dan about how much he loved the game, how much it meant to him, and how much fun he had playing it. "And you seem to like it very much also!... maybe you can come over to my flat sometime and play it with me."Dan nodded so hard he thought his neck would break. "Yeah, I would love that! Absolutely."
Phil chuckled, but was interrupted by a manager who came backstage. "Hey, five more minutes to showtime, okay?" he said. Everyone began to get out of the couch fortress and file down into the pit below the stage, where more people had began to enter and fill up.
Dan was beginning to step out of the couch when Phil reached for his arm. "Wait, Dan," Phil said. Dan's heart raced. He remembered my name! "Will I see you after the show? I want to talk to you some more."
Dan shrugged. "I honestly don't know if Collin's staying behind or not, but he might... I dunno."
Phil laughed. Dan took note that his tongue poked out while he did... the younger boy thought it was cute.
"I'll be looking forward to hanging out with you again," Phil said, before turning on his heel and walking into the darkness of the backstage that consumed him. Dan could only stand in shock. "Mate! Hurry, the gig's gonna start!"
Dan hurried down the steps to the floor with his friends. Everyone waiting anxiously, but with patience and excitement. Dan could hardly contain himself.
And then, it happened.
Lights out. Strobe light. Stage lighting. Smoke.
And Phil Lester rose up from it all. "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen," he said, his silky voice now sounding sexual. Dan melted, and only oozed further when Phil's eyes met his. For a brief second, Phil smiled at Dan.
"I'm charmed to play you some sounds tonight, in an order that is unique, and that I'm sure you'll love."
And then the band began to play.
Dan was jumping to the beat, in time with everyone around him. He felt electric. Musical, sensual novocaine for the soul. Pleasuring his senses. Pulsing through his skull. Heart skipping beats, stars in his eyes, love in his heart. Dan was sure he was flying. But all things must come to an end, as did the show. Thankfully, though, Collin brought his friends backstage once more. There was another band about to perform.
"Hey, you came back!" Phil said, bumping into Dan. Dan looked at Phil: "Oh yeah, um, I guess they all chose to stay."Dan followed the rest of the group back to the couch concoction and sat down. Phil sat down next to him once more, and pulled Dan towards him. "I'm really happy you hung out with us tonight," Phil said, leaning in to press a kiss to Dan's forehead. Dan blushed furiously. "I'm glad I met you," Dan said, snuggling into Phil.

Dan didn't remember how he got home that night. He woke up at noon, a throbbing headache from the pounding music, and drool on his chin.
He stumbled into the bathroom, took a piss, and finally looked himself in the mirror.
There was a pink sticky-note on his forehead. He peeled it off and read it.
You fell asleep on the couch after the show last night, so I took you home. Call me if you wanna have a Pokemon date like we talked about!! xx- Phil
