Slumped over the dining room table, Jungkook was lazily chewing his toast. Exceptionally, everyone was up, as they had decided to go into town to show Taehyung around. Even though Soyoon, who wasn't exactly thrilled, as she hated pointless walks more than anything else, found herself obliged to accept her father's insistent requests. Jungkook was beginning to feel sorry for his grandfather: he was doing everything in his power to bind the family together, even though there was no hope of doing so.

Someone suddenly knocked on the front door, jolting him out of his thoughts. Everyone straightened up immediately, confusion in every eye.

"Who could it be?" Jeon asked, standing up.

In fact, this house was rather isolated, no-one came here by mistake. The old man went to open the door, uncertain, but his scepticism was soon replaced by immense joy when he saw who was behind the door. He exclaimed joyfully, attracting the attention of everyone in the household, who rushed to the entrance. Jungkook's blood ran cold as he caught sight of the man.

He was quite tall and well-built, wearing a simple green T-shirt and bermuda shorts of the same colour. He was approaching fifty, and the wrinkles that were beginning to appear on his face didn't help in the least to make his face more attractive.

"Shou, it's good to see you again!" Jeon exclaimed. "But what are you doing here, my friend?"

The said Shou gave the old man a friendly hug and laughed.

"Ahah, I was passing by with my truck yesterday and saw some cars parked in front of the house, so I thought I'd drop in and see you!"

The two men separated, and Shou greeted Soyoon and her mother with the same enthusiasm.

"Who's that?" Taehyung asked Jin.

Jin gritted his teeth. Taehyung didn't know the man, but he suspected that he wasn't the most popular person here.

"Lee Shou, an old friend of the family. He lives round here. I don't like him."

"I can see that..."

At the same time, Shou advanced towards the small group, and politely greeted Namjoon and Jin, who were deliberately keeping their distance. He then turned to Taehyung.

"Ah, you must be Soyoon's husband! I'm Shou, nice to meet you!"

They shook hands, the CEO responding politely. Looking at him more closely, he could understand Jin: he didn't like this man. There was something about him, his aura, that seemed odd.

Shou then turned his gaze to Jungkook, who swallowed when he saw the man's smirk.

"Ah, Jungkook! How are you, big boy?"

"F-Fine, t-thanks..." he stammered.

He wanted to move away but didn't have the time: Shou came up and took him in his arms. To the others, it looked like just a friendly greeting, but Jungkook felt the man's hands slide down his back, descending dangerously towards his hips. Jungkook managed to pull away before he could. Shou didn't protest, knowing that nobody had noticed his inappropriate gesture.

"It's really nice to see you again, Shou!" Jeon continued, moving towards his friend and wrapping an arm around his shoulders.

"It's nice to see you too! You come here less and less often, it makes me sad, you know!"

The two men walked towards the living room, followed by the rest of the family.

"You have no idea! We've been really busy lately, between the wedding and business... Taehyung can tell you all about it better than anyone!"
