Maya's pov:"P-please, love, d-don't leave me," I whispered through my tears, my voice breaking with every word. I buried my face in my hands, wishing I could somehow will him to stay with me, to keep fighting.
Finally, the doors to the emergency room opened, and a doctor stepped out, his expression grave. "Miss Maya?" he called, his voice gentle yet heavy with unspoken words.
I stood up, my legs unsteady. "Y-yes, doc? How is he? He's fine, right?" I asked, my voice desperate for some glimmer of hope.
Doctor. William that Liam's friend, looked at me, his eyes filled with a mix emotion that told me everything I needed to know before he even talked. "I'm sorry, we did everything we could."
"No, no, don't say that," I cried, my voice breaking. My world are down and out of control around me as he continued, "The time of death is 11:12."
I fell to my knees, my heart shattering into a million pieces. "No, Liam, please, no," I whispered. The weight of those words crashed down on me, and the world blurred into an endless pain and loss.
