Liam's pov:
The soft glow of the bedside lamp cast a warm, comforting light over the room. I lay in bed, feeling the cool sheets against my skin and the sound beeping of the monitors surrounding me. Maya’s presence was touch my soul, her gentle touch is a reminder that, even in the worst of times, love could bring a sense of peace.
I watched her as she spoke about our future, her eyes sparkling with excitement. She was talking about our wedding again, her voice full of happiness and hope. As she described the little chapel by the lake, I could almost smell the fresh, earthy scent of the water and feel the cool breeze. Her words painted such a vivid picture that I could see it all in my mind’s eye: the twinkling fairy lights, the long table filled with friends and family, the sound of laughter and music under the starlit sky. I felt more exited than ever.
I squeezed her hand, feeling the strength and love in her. She was my anchor, my light in the darkness. Her dreams for our future were my dreams too, and I held onto them more tightly, refusing to let go. "It sounds magical," I said, my voice a little softer and alittle weaker than it used to be. “I can’t wait to see you in your wedding dress, to dance with you under the stars.”
She smiled at me, her eyes are now with tears she tried so hard to hold back. Her fingers brushed through my hair, a tender touch that sent a warmth through my body. "We’ll have a wonderful life together, Liam," she whispered, her voice filled with so much love it made my heart ache. "I'm sorry Maya I don't know if I can fight it sorry" I said in my mind.
