The next time that Emerson saw Mattheo after the punching incident was the next day during the school week in the Great Hall at lunchtime. She managed to avoid him, or he managed to avoid her until that time. As she always did nowadays, she was sitting at the Gryffindor table with the rest of the students clad in scarlet red and gold, since she no longer wanted to associate with her fellow Ravenclaws. None of them had apologised to her yet, so she hadn't spoken to any of them. She was sitting with Olivia, Fred and George who were soon enough joined by Harry, Ron and Hermione mid-way through lunch, looking miserable and tired.

Following the fight with Mattheo, she was fortunate that her right hand was no longer in any pain. Fred managed and prevented her right hand from bruising and swelling yesterday with a Bruise Removal Paste that him and George invented to remove the bruises caused by their product testing. She was back to normal, physically at least. Emotionally, she was still unsure as to how she should feel.

"Happy Monday!" Fred said cheerily, noticing the identical gloomy expressions of Harry, Ron and Hermione as they sat down. "What? Finally getting bested by your O.W.L. year?" His eyes lit up mischievously. "Hmmm, if only someone had told you that your faces will be rubbed so hard against the stone that they'll be smooth," He said with an exaggerated sigh. He glanced at Emerson and Olivia. "You're making these two girls look like true Ravenclaws with their intelligence and wisdom. They aren't even breaking a sweat."

They both rolled their eyes. They were also struggling with their O.W.L. year as well, but to a lesser degree since they experienced more enjoyment from their academic studies than the Gryffindors.

"Mondays just suck," Ron complained, collapsing like a heap on the seat. His shoulders dropped and he looked as if he could just melt onto the chair into a puddle. "There is literally nothing good about Mondays. You'd think we'd be used to these crappy starts to the week by now but Binns, Trelawney, Snape and Umbridge are just getting worse."

"I have something that can make your day," George sung in a I-know-something-you-don't voice, taking a bite out of a sandwich. He winked in Emerson's direction, who rolled her eyes. They hadn't mentioned to anyone about her punching Mattheo yet, but she knew it wouldn't be long before Fred and George shared the story around. They were tittering on the edge of their seats with the information. Once that happened, the story would inevitably spread like wildfire across the school until every nook, cranny and corner knew that she punched Mattheo and broke his nose.

"I highly doubt it. We have so many assignments to complete and we even have our Quidditch training tonight," Harry muttered, pouring himself a glass of Pumpkin Juice miserably.

"Well... Maybe we shouldn't," Fred mock sighed, glancing at George, slouching his shoulders dramatically.

"You're right, Freddie. I guess we won't tell them about how Emerson gave Mattheo Riddle exactly what he finally deserved yesterday," George chortled.
