"So step right out, there is no amount, of crying I can do for you. All this time, we always walked a very thin line. You didn't even hear me out. Never gave a warning sign."

This was it. The biggest moment of her life. Although not a pleasant one, her muscles were burning and aching with every push. The Lichtenberg figures climb through her neck and onto her cheek, slowly forming on her forehead.
Angelia wasn't letting down either. Her fingertips were turning black from all the power she was exerting. She stepped forward, following a large crack in the ground. Angelia had to do it. To stop everyone from getting infected. It was for the greater good.
What does she know about the greater good?
"Just give up!" Angelia spoke over the boisterous sound of the wind encasing them. Their hair flying in every which way.
"Why don't we just stop?! I'll find a way to stop other people from getting infected! I don't want to do this anymore!" Harley attempted to persuade her, only for her to cough out blood, leaving a trail on her chin.
"We're way past that!"
"You don't get to decide that!"
The storm only strengthened, encasing them in a furious wind that had increased in speed. Debris slowly filled up as a tornado formed.
An orange portal opened as three figures entered, but only to be blown away by the strong forces. They immediately latched onto a nearby building, their powers assisting them greatly.
Miguel's eyes widened at the sight of the purple tornado before murmuring. "Mierda."
He squinted his eyes to see two figures. One blonde and one with jet black hair. He recognized the two in one instance. The one thing he was very afraid of happened. He turned his head back to his colleagues. "We have to stop them!"
"Stop how, Miguel?!" Jessica dove as a metal crate blew over her head. "We can't do anything! We'll get killed!"
"Yeah, man." Ben said—once again, another spider-man—as he pulled his red hood over his head. The eyes of the Spider-Man deformed as it shook in the wind. "We'll get killed in there."
"We just have to let it play out!" Jessica told him the dark truth.
Miguel took a deep breath to calm himself. "We have to. We don't have a choice."
"That tornado will burn us! As you can see, Miguel, it's not a normal one!" Jessica tried to convince him.
"Dark magic. We don't mess with that, bro." Ben commented.
Miguel would usually scold Ben for calling him bro. He didn't, due to the circumstances they were in. Miguel slowly crawled on the walls, attempting to get closer to the two. He had to be very careful not to get blown back.
Harley and Angelia's stamina slowly diminished as their bodies slowly weakened. Blood spilled out of their eyes, ears, and mouths. Their hands shook as the burning sensation worsened.
Harley eyes the watch on Angelia's wrist. It was Harley's initial plan to get rid of the woman in front of her. It was impossible since Angelia's fingers dug into the back of her hand, tightening their intertwined hands.
The hairs on the back of her neck stood up. She felt as though someone was watching her. She turned her head and squinted her eyes, trying to see through the tornado. She noticed a glowing red web.
She recognized the web and let out a shaky breath of relief.
Harley turned her head back to look at Angelia, who was exerting all her power. The girl knew she had to end this soon. Harley clenched her teeth before taking a step forward, enforcing more powers to come out of her palms.
The whirring sound of the tornado has worsened, but suddenly the storm has stopped. Everything was calm. The debris is back on the ground. There was not a single breeze on their faces.
It was dead silent, and that's what creeped everyone out. Even Angelia froze as she looked around, confused.
Harley glanced at her friends on the side before her eyes darted at Angelia's watch. Her eyes widened at the chance. Her hand reached towards Angelia's wrist. Harley's index and middle fingers hook onto the bands.
Angelia suddenly grabbed her two fingers tightly, attempting to stop her. If the watch was off her wrist, it was over for her.
The whirring sound happened again before the purple energy exploded. It took a split second before she was fully encased in the deadly energy.
