Link was clutching his fist so hard his knuckles began to turn ghostly. His princess was in danger and he was nowhere to be found. That look alike character was a lot for him alone to deal with, and Zelda was still in training. He was too reckless leaving her behind like that.
"That guy again..." Sora crossed his arms. "That's weird though, how come he didn't attack this time?"
"He looked like you right? Maybe he doesn't know how to follow directions either." Riku ruffled his friend's hair, earning a frustrated grunt. "I agree. Usually when the organization doesn't attack, they have some other scheme in mind."
"He DID mention that Ganondorf has a plan in motion, and with the heart in the sky as indication, I don't believe he was bluffing." Zelda nervously recollected.
"Then it seems it's time to begin planning. Ganondorf wont simply wait for us to make a move." The brown haired princess stepped from beside the boys into view. Her and her blonde counterpart stared at one another. On the other screen.
"So...the rumors about 'Zelda' roaming the forest, they were true?!" Zelda analyzed the otherworld version of herself carefully.
"Yeahh...looks like we need to catch up on some stuff." Sora scratched his head, not entirely sure how to explain WHY they were gone for as long as they were.
Luckily, Riku and Link managed to do most of the explaining just fine, informing the Hateno group about the princess' story, and the trial that the great deku tree sprung on Link and Sora.
"You're telling me that not only is there another Zelda, but a THIRD Link? I can't keep track anymore." Purah shook her head through the struggling screen.
"Roxas...Roxas is here?" Xion appeared from behind the princess.
Sora and Riku shared a look before focusing back on the screen. "You know Roxas?" Sora scratched his head. His words seemed to make the girl somewhat retreat. Riku noticed her reaction, but decided to tell Sora to drop it for now. He'd forgotten that her and Roxas were friends, so hearing this couldn't have been easy.
"On top of all of this, it appears that in our absence, they've seized the castle." The current era Zelda placed a curious hand on her chin. "Once again, I've been careless. We must apprehend them at once!" She grew impatient. "Let's meet at the castle! We'll settle this as soon as possible."
"Yeah! Let's get those guys now! The other Links and Roxas might be waiting!" Sora was fueled by her words as he pumped a fist.
"Hold up." Riku palmed his friend's face. "As much as we want to save everyone and stop those guys, I think all of them would be pretty disappointed if we got capture or killed because we rushed in there without a plan." He tried to reason with them. "Besides, if they're anything like these guys, we know they're holding out for us." He pointed to the Link and Sora.
"You....you're right." Zelda seems to have calmed a bit with his words in mind. "Ok, then for now, all of us shall reconvene here, and come up with a plan." Link and the other nodded in agreement.
"Fine, but we should hurry!" Sora shook the blonde swordsman beside him. Link assured him that he was on the same page, and that they should make their way back to the lab.
Wasting no more time, Riku's ship was off the ground, and above the trees. The trip back to Hateno was short, which left them little time to process everything thats happened in what's apparently been an entire three days.
As they landed, the other half of the group had come outside to join them. Everyone shared greetings, just happy to see the boys alive and well in their presence. Zelda approached her knight with alarming speed as he descended from the ship's stairs. No one seemed surprised when she leaped into his arms, and he caught her with ease.
