** A Week Later **

Dawn's P.O.V

"So you're telling me... that my baby has been living with some boy for three som'n months and you haven't done anything about it?!" I shout at him.

"I-I didin't know what to do... I told her the truth about what really happened with us and she flipped out. After that she left with him and I didn't know what to do!" He says and I roll my eyes

"I don't give a damn! You are her father! If you ain't puttin yo foot down then that little nappy headed ass nigga gon think he can just fool around with our baby girl! Which he did!" I say then begin to feel a little light headed. I fall forward trying to breathe.

"Dawn, honey. Calm down..." He says coming over to me and putting his hand on my shoulder

I cut my eyes at him. Did this old fool just try to call me honey?

I take another breath to stabilize myself. 

"I can't believe that you let all this happen David... what were you thinking, letting her stay with him?"

He sighs "I don't know dawn... I'm an idiot."

"Don't you start that ol' bullshit with me, she is your seed... would you care to act like you give a damn?!"

He takes a step back looking at me crazy  "I do give a damn! I just can't walk back into her life and start regulating shit!"

"YES YOU CAN!" I yell then begin coughing. He walks over to me but I put my hand out. 

"Look, I show up after some odd number of years and then tell her that I was unfaithful and she's  just supposed to automatically listen to me?"

"I don't give a damn, you are the father! You know what's best for her. YOU, are supposed to be the man! The one who is the head of everything, makes the decisions, protect, provide! What are you doing David?! Where is your head at? How am I, supposed to trust you to be the man if you can't even assume the title?! I need you here." I say pointing down. " Cause I've been pulling both the loads of a mother and a father while you over there feeling sorry for yourself!" I say catching my breath... and he got the nerve to call me honey...

"I know I know, I'm sorry. I haven't been a good father lately... I-"

I roll my eyes. "Whatever, where is she?" I say moving my covers and getting out of bed.

"No, you are not getting out of this bed." He says to me.

"Who do you think you're talking to?" He did not just try to boss me around!

"Just get in the bed, you just woke up and you don't need to be running around and whooping ass."

I huff staying where I am. "Where is she?" I say frustrated.

He sighs "I don't know they said she checked out early this morning. She just left and didn't tell nobody."

I shake my head, holding it. This little heifer...

Audrey's P.O.V 

I pull up to my mom's house and slowly get out the car. I hope Isaac's not here.. I really need some time alone.

I take my keys out and open the door. I listen for a second, nope.

"Great." I say to myself, I go upstairs and open the door to my room. I look around. It feels like forever since I've been in this room. I begin to feel like I was going back in time, before all of this crazy shit happened...
