The Start Of Something... (37)

Audrey's P.O.V

I walk into my room exhausted. Our first date was a success! I had such a good time! He took me out to a dinner but it started out weird, like everything wasn't us. We ended up leaving and going back to my house and watching a movie. We laughed and play fought all night.

I strip and as soon as I hit the pillow, my eyes shut and I fell into a deep sleep.

All of a sudden there was a small sound. I slowly shifted. There was another sound, and my eyes peer open to see if it was Tailand trying to sneak in my room.

But Everything looked normal. I calmly stare out of the door into the shaded darkness of the hallway. I take in a deep breath and relaxing body again. All of a sudden there was a dark shadow moving down the hallway. My heart stopped. I opened my eyes wider to see. It got closer to my room.

"Tailand?" I tried to call but he didn't answer.

I hear the slow footsteps walking down the hall. My heart drops, this could only be one person.

I get up and get out of the bed slowly tip toeing to my bottom drawer where I keep my bat. I squat down and slowly open it.

Nothing.

My heart freezes. How could it have gone missing? I always kept it there! Could it be she... She saw me hide it and moved it? I start to panic moving things around, I cover my mouth because I was cursing myself out.

The footsteps stop and I pause looking at the door.

It was silent.

I slowly creep to the door, maybe I can fight her off. Out of the silence a hand reaches out and grabs my neck. I scream and jump back In horror. The moonlight hit her face, it was Tisha!

She pushes me back on the bed with both hands around my neck. 

"If you aren't mine, then you're no ones!" She growls her grip getting tighter.

I couldn't  breathe, I tried to get her off me but its almost like she was a man. I couldn't call for help... I continue to fight.. Not here.. Not now!

"Audrey! Audrey! AUDREY!" I hear Taii calling me. My heart races.

He shakes me and I wake up to see him standing over me.

"Its just a dream!" He says out of breath.

I stare at him in confusion. Then I feel the hot tears tickle my cheeks. I was crying.

"It's okay baby I'm here..." He says pulling me into him and holding me close. I slowly hold onto him still in shock.

I told him before our date started that he would have to leave because it's not normal for us to be starting over and be staying together at the same time. But he refused. He told me that he needed some more time with me. I'm so glad that he stayed.

I take in a deep breath. My heart is still racing, everything felt soo real...

I look up at the door checking to see if she was standing there. Nothing.
