Light glanced at his beloved girlfriend who was walking alongside him in a park.

The surroundings were so much more warm and peaceful than the cold taskforce building.

Children were playing around, families were having picnics as cherry blossoms had started blooming.

Light stared at (Y/n) in awe.

𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘴𝘰 𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘰 𝘴𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦.

"I love you" Light confessed randomly and smiled like a schoolgirl who had just confessed to her crush.

(Y/n) was taken aback by her boyfriend's sudden expression of love. Butterflies bloomed in her stomach as a soft shade of pink tinted her cheeks.

"So suddenly?" She asked Light as she uncontrollably smiled.

"Hmm.. Just wanted you to know that I love you so much" Light smiled at his lover warmly as he gently wrapped one of his arms around her shoulder and pulled her closer.

"I love you too~" (Y/n) replied as she smiled and tore her eyes off Light.

The young couple continued walking in a comfortable silence before it was broken.

"Hey Light!" A familiar voice called out from behind the young couple.

Light and (Y/n) simultaneously turned around to be met by Minoru Tanaka who smiled at them innocently.

"Oh hey.." Light said in a bored manner.

𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘶𝘱 𝘯𝘰𝘸?

Minoru smiled at Light, a half hearted smile before he turned to look at (Y/n) and smiled at her too.

"Hi (Y/n)"

"Oh hey Minoru!" (Y/n) replied too enthusiastically as she smiled at Minoru's frame. For a teenager, Minoru was quite tall but not taller than Light.

"... So.. What brings you here?" Light asked smoothly as he looked at Minoru, he smiled at Minoru but it didn't quite reach his eyes.

Minoru noticed this of course. He noticed everything. He even noticed (Y/n) being slightly weird, as if she was carefully observing their interactions.

"Oh I was just passing by.. I thought I might just walk through the park" Minoru said nonchalantly.

(Y/n) carefully observed them, she would often glance towards Light. She would try to look for any slight shift in his behavior but she didn't seem to see anything.

She felt guilty for even doubting Light. He loved her so much.

"Well, we'll get going then" Light said politely to Minoru.

Minoru looked between Light and his girlfriend with amusement.

"Oh.. I'm sorry.. I seem to have interrupted a date, I see" Minoru said teasingly as he winked at (Y/n).

"Alright I'll leave you to it..." Minoru said to Light before he turned to (Y/n) as he smiled menacingly. "We will meet again"

With that, Minoru walked off in the opposite direction.

A strange wave of feelings surged through (Y/n), they were not pleasant. The way Minoru said the last part directed to her felt so awful. It felt more like a threat. Something she couldn't ignore.

(Y/n)'s thoughts were interrupted by Light clearing his throat.

"What's wrong love?" Light asked her gently, noticing her slight discomfort.. Of course he noticed.

"Nothing.." You smiled at Light as you held his hand tighter.

You remembered what L had said earlier.

"𝘕𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘢 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘮𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦.. 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴.. 𝘚𝘰𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘳 𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘭𝘪𝘱 𝘶𝘱.."

"Light..? Can you stay over at my place tonight..? I don't want to be alone tonight.." You asked Light softly.

Light immediately turned to you with concern in his face as he nodded.

"Sure love" Light smiled at you as he caressed your head.

𝘼𝙩 (𝙔/𝙣)'𝙨 𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙚

As the couple finally reached (Y/n)'s house, Light spoke up.

"So.. Mind telling me why you didn't want to be alone? Is there a problem?" Light wrapped his arms around her waist from behind protectively.

"No it's not like that.. I just spent the entire day with you and I... I just.. Wanted to stay with you a moment longer" (Y/n) said as she leaned against Light's arms which felt like home by itself.

Light chuckled as he kissed her forehead.

"Go freshen up, I'll make the bed" Light murmured as he reluctantly let go of his lover.

In the shower, you thought about everything.

Light could 𝘯𝘰𝘵 be Kira.

Light was so loving and caring to you, he definitely had compassion, right?

𝘖𝘩 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘯𝘢𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦.

As you stepped out of the shower in fresh pajamas, you were met with Light sitting on the right side of your bed.

Light smiled at you the moment he saw you, he stretched his arms out as you ran into his arms.

Light chuckled as he gently caressed your hair.

𝘔𝘺 𝘴𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵. 𝘐 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘰 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩. 𝘐'𝘭𝘭 𝘥𝘰 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶. 𝘐 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘥𝘪𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶.

Light thought as he kissed your forehead gently. He gently caressed your face, his fingers delicately tracing your soft features.

There was barely any distance between you two. The temperature of the room seemed to increase.

Light's eyes darted to your lips before he looked up at your eyes asking for permission. You gave a slight nod which was enough for Light to immediately start kissing you. He was passionate with the kiss, taking his time to explore every inch of your mouth.

He pulled out for a brief moment to let your breathe before kissing you again with more urgency.

Light gently pushed you down onto the bed whilst kissing you as he now hovered above you.

He looked into your eyes as his hands went to the hem of your shirt, he was asking for permission to take off your clothes to which you nodded.

He smiled at you before kissing your forehead and pulled your shirt above your head. He took his own shirt off as well before he kissed you again.

As the night wore on, they experienced a precious moment of expressing their love for each other, something they will never forget.
