You sat at the quiet room as you looked around.

L sat before you in his unusual position that he claimed increased his brain power. You didn't quite understand but you still admired him a lot.

L quietly took a sip of his tea as he kept his gaze on you.

"Please make yourself comfortable Miss Gevanni" L said in his usual monotone voice, devoid of any emotions.

You nod as you notice Watari was still in the room at the very corner by the main door which only opened by a fingerprint.

Of course, this was the most important room, this was where all the data about Kira was collected and stored. The main data branch was this room.

"Miss Gevanni, the reason I called you in here is quite simple actually" L started as you listened intently.

"I would like to ask you a question" L said without look at you.

You mumbled a small ''sure" before he continued.

"What do you think about Light being Kira?"

You shuddered as a shiver ran down your spine. It was not a surprise that L suspected Light, from the very beginning you knew Light was the prime suspect of being Kira yet something inside of you didn't want to acknowledge it.

"I.. I don't know.. But I would like to believe that Light would never do something like that" you said.

L stared at you in a calculative manner. His eyes which were always cold seemed even more colder now. He carefully set his cup down on the small tea table in between you and L.

L's gaze never seeming to leave yours.

"Miss Gevanni, I believe you have great potential to be a detective, in fact you could even be the greatest detective after me.." L said softly as he mindlessly stirred his tea which was slowly getting cold now.

"However, I believe I told you during training that to be a detective, you can never get your feelings involved"

"Feelings..." L sighed before continuing.

"It makes a person vulnerable, it makes it hard for them to see the truth.. Because feelings makes a person want to believe.. Believe things that aren't true.."

You listened carefully to L. You had always admired L as the world's greatest detective. You understood exactly what L wanted to say.

"(Y/n).. You have a lot of potential, I'm not just saying this as your mentor but also as your friend.. Please keep your eyes and ears open at all times..."

"No matter how perfect a person might appear to be.. They always have imperfections.. Sooner or later they will slip up.." L said as he glanced at you pointedly.

You sat at your desk as you looked at Light's contact on your phone.

You remember what L has said previously this day.

You wanted to be sure that the person you loved wasn't Kira and that L was just mistaken.

So, you decided to keep an eye on Light Yagami. You decided to discreetly spy on him.

Your thoughts were interrupted by Light who suddenly showed up behind you.

"Thinking about me?" Light asked teasingly as his eyes fell on your phone screen illuminating his contact.

"Oh Light.." You forced a smile at him. Something about what L said had struck you, you suddenly felt uneasy under Light's eyes.

"Let's go on a date?" Light asked gently as he at smiles you.

All the doubts you had about him almost vanished as he at smiled you. 𝘈𝘭𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵.

"Sure"
