Light looks at the two sketches of what's known to be the successors of L. Matsuda and Aizawa had gone to England to get some information on Wammy's orphanage.
They found out that the orphanage wasn't a normal orphanage. That orphanage was a place for gifted children and Near was at the top.
The sketches were vague and could possibly be different from what the successors actually looked like.

A soft hum of the wind chime rings in your ears as you sit on the bedside of your fiance's sister.
Sayu Yagami was rescued by her father who gave away the death note to the mafia in exchange for his daughter.
You look over the young girl who has now gone pale and thinner.
She must've been terrified. Poor girl.
You watch over the young girl, unbeknownst to the turmoil happening in Light's world.

Light grits his teeth as he finally sets the sketches down.
Light picks up his cell phone as he dials the very familiar number.
"Yeah, what?"
"Minoru, I need you to do something"
There's a small pause on the line as Minoru speaks.
"About time.. It was getting super boring, you know?"

The taskforce members bring in another death note given by Kira himself.
Or so they thought.
As everyone touches the notebook one by one, they see the new Shinigami.
The Shinigami is adorned in black leather like clothes with a lot of exaggerated spikes. It has a wide nasty grin and olive like eyes.
"You must be the Shinigami of this death note" Light asks calmly.
𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘮𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘶𝘱 𝘙𝘺𝘶𝘬
"I'm Ryuk" the Shingami speaks up.

"Someone needs to do the eye deal with the Shinigami.. That's the only way we can retrieve the other notebook.." Matsuda speaks up as he looks around the room in concern.
"I'll do it" Soichiro Yagami says calmly.
"Cheif-" Aizawa tries to interfere but is quickly cut off by Soichiro.
"I gave away the notebook so I should be the one to take it back" Soichiro says determined as Light just quietly listens to them.

You notice the Yagami house's landline ringing.
"Dear, can you get the call for me?" Sachiko Yagami calls out from the kitchen.
"Yes!" You rush to the telephone and answer the call.
"Hello, is this the Yagami residence?"

"We're calling from the kanto city hospital....."
"....."
You stay frozen with the telephone on your ear.
Sachiko Yagami peeks her head from the kitchen.
"Who was that dear?"

You rush in the hospital with Sachiko Yagami and Sayu Yagami trailing behind you.
You enter the designated hospital room for Soichiro Yagami along with the two women.
Light was just sitting in complete silence next to his deceased father.
Light looked disheveled and upset, you figured he's not reacting much now because he's in shock. His eyes are bloodshot, you feel really upset for your lover who's now going through some emotional turmoil.
The tiny hospital room was now filled with sounds of sobs and sorrow.
The Yagami family had lost a very important part of their lives.
You walk over to Light as you give his shoulder a gentle squeeze, just to let him know that you're there for him.
Light acknowledges your presence by holding your hand but he doesn't meet your eyes...
He's still crying..
And he doesn't want anyone to see him cry.
