Light glared at the younger boy before him as he nonchalantly stared right back at Light.
"You do need me~ I'm flattered.." Minoru deadpaned as he smiled at Light.
"Sure.. Anyway, you watch the news right?" Light asked.
"Yeah, super boring"
"I need you to contact Kiyomi Takada" Light got straight to the point as Minoru stared at Light with an unreadable expression.
"What then?"
"Tell her you are Kira, make her trust you and let her touch a page from the death note.. Make sure she gets the eyes"
Minoru stared at Light with interest as he laughed softly.
"Does it have to be Takada? I like Y/n better though"
Light glared at Minoru at his remark whilst Minoru just smiled and raised his hands in surrender.
"Just kidding" Minoru smirked while Light got up.
"Hey Light" Minoru called out to the brunette just as he was about to leave.
Light turned to look at Minoru who was swirling a glass of red wine in his hands.
"You love Y/n a lot don't you?"
"Why ask me something so obvious?" Light asked with a clear hint of irritation.
"It's just.. I was wondering, what would you do if your beloved lover girl was standing next to your enemies rather than you.." Minoru started with a glint of mischief knowing very well he was triggering Light.
"Would you be willing to get rid of her just to save yourself?" Minoru finished as he looked up at Light with amusement, his eyes glinting red.
".... "
"That would never happen" Light said coldly before he finally walked away.
Minoru watched the brunette leave the restaurant as he continued swirling his drink in his hand, a smirk evident on his face.
"Well, this is going to be interesting" Minoru laughed to himself.

Light clutched his work bag tightly as he remembered the encounter with Minoru.

The skies had turned into a beautiful sapphire colour, people from all places were walking to their own destinations. The world seemed so peaceful especially with the decrease in the crime rate.
Light inhaled softly as he tried to forget what Minoru had told him back at the
Fancy but somewhat dull restaurant.

Light stopped in front of a bakery as he caught the sight of an assortment of various types of cakes and pasteries.
One type caught his attention the most, the strawberry pasteries.
Of course it did. Light wasn't the type for sugary treats, the only ever time he ate them was with his fiancèe because she loved them.

Light went into the bakery and came out minutes later with a bag filled with strawberry pasteries.

Light entered the apartment which he shared with his lover.
"I'm home.." Light called out gently.
"Welcome back!" The honey like voice called back as Y/n greeted Light.
Y/n hugged Light gently before taking the bag of pasteries from him.
"I got you strawberry pasteries love, let's eat them together hm?" Light said gently as he caressed his lover's head before taking off his shoes and heading inside while his lover squealed.
"Thanks honey~!" Y/n called out happily as she went to the kitchen.

Light couldn't think straight. The words on the paper seemed to have a mind of their own as they started dancing across the paper.

Light glanced behind him to see his lover fix her hair for bed.

Light suddenly stood up and made his way towards his lover before standing right behind her.
He towered over her as he looked down at her with an unreadable expression.
Y/n noticed Light by his reflection in the mirror before her.
"Oh Light.. Are you done with your wo-" Y/n asked gently as she turned around to face Light but her question was interrupted by a pair of soft lips crashing over her own.
It began with a gentle kiss but it soon became aggressive as Light seemed to be losing control.
Light picked his lover up in his arms and carried her to bed before throwing her on the pillows softly. He crawled over her and kissed her again, pouring all of his possessiveness into the kiss.
Y/n wrapped her arms around Light's neck, pulling him closer. It would be a lie if she said she didn't want this, she had been craving for physical intimacy with Light for a long while.
Light broke the kiss before he kneeled on the bed, towering over Y/n. He kept his eyes on her as he unbuttoned his shirt.
"Love.. Can we?" Light asked gently although it was very obvious he was having a hard time holding back but he still prioritized his lover's comfort.
Y/n just smiled at Light and nodded while Light looked down at her in awe and hunger all at once.
Her disheveled state, her flushed cheeks and the way she was looking up at Light.
It was unbearable.
Light threw his shirt across the room before kissing her aggressively again.
