A/N: So I am going to try and make my book go along the lines of the movies but with my twists hopefully everything goes well. I am not sure If I will stick to this statement as I am writing what pops into my head at the time not knowing what will happen in the future chapters. Sorry for another shorter chapter I did not mean to, but also did not know what else to write about!
Potions class was held in the damp, dimly lit dungeons of Hogwarts, where Professor Snape's presence seemed to make the air colder and the shadows deeper. As the students filed into the classroom, Snape's stern gaze swept over them, and he wasted no time in assigning seats.
"Y/L/N, Malfoy, at the back," Snape's voice was sharp and authoritative as he pointed to a table in the far corner of the room.
Y/N exchanged a glance with Draco as they made their way to their seats. Draco's expression was inscrutable, but there was a mischievous glint in his eyes that made Y/N wary.
Throughout the class, Draco whispered random comments in Y/N's ear, ranging from snide remarks about Snape's teaching methods to sarcastic observations about their fellow classmates. Y/N tried to ignore him, focusing instead on following Snape's instructions carefully.
As they worked on brewing a simple potion, Draco leaned closer, his voice barely audible over the bubbling cauldrons. "Watch Snape's face when he tastes it. It's always priceless," he murmured, a smirk playing on his lips.
Y/N rolled her eyes but couldn't help a small chuckle at Draco's audacity. Despite his teasing, there was an unexpected camaraderie in their banter that Y/N found both frustrating and intriguing.
Snape, as usual, showed no favoritism and was equally harsh with his criticism of all students' potions. When he finally reached Y/N and Draco's table, his dark eyes narrowed as he inspected their concoction. "Mediocre," he muttered, his tone disdainful.
As Snape moved on to the next table, Y/N turned to Draco with a raised eyebrow. "Mediocre? Coming from Snape, that's practically a compliment," she remarked dryly.
Draco smirked. "See? You're catching on quickly, Y/L/N," he teased, his silver eyes twinkling with amusement.
Before Y/N could retort, Snape's sharp voice cut through the room. "Class dismissed. Be sure to clean your cauldrons thoroughly."
As the students began to gather their things and file out of the dungeon classroom, Y/N glanced at Draco, unsure of what to make of their peculiar dynamic. Despite their differences and occasional clashes, there was an undeniable intrigue in their interactions that left Y/N curious for more.
