Chapter 27: The Skull Ring

Your POV:

You were walking around the forest of camp grounds. Saying hello to the Dryads and making some few conversations with the beautiful water spirits of the ponds.

You did this often since you are a daughter of Demeter. You then found the meadow you were looking for.

You kneeled down and picked up flowers and sang. Suddenly, you see something shining. You went to go see what this object was.

You then see a ring. It was a skull ring you guessed since it did have a skull on it. You picked it up and saw the shining light reflecting it.

But for some reason around the ring the flowers were dead. The ring felt cold. You then feel a dark and cold presence behind you.

"I'm guessing you found my ring huh?" A boy with messy raven black hair that had a very pale face said. This boy was wearing all black and had a smirk on his face.

"Yeah sorry um" you say offering his skull ring back "no need to apologize. I'm Nico by the way" he says offering his hand.

You then went to touch his pale hand and when you did it was freezing cold. "Oh my gods, your hands" you say.

He chuckles

"I know their cold" he says putting them in his pockets. "Anyways, I'm Nico, from the Hades cabin" he says.

"Somebody lives there?" You ask as he laughed. It was cu- nevermind. "Well I do. I have a sister Hazel she's a daughter of Hades, well Pluto, since she's Roman" he explains.

"But she's in the other camp" he's face then darkened "Camp Jupiter?" You say as he's nods. "Yeah she and her boyfriend, Frank, went back there and so it's only me" He says looking at his red converse.

"Anyways, what's your name?" He asks "oh mine. It's y/n" you say "well nice to meet you y/n. Thanks for finding my ring by the way, my dad gifted it to me" he says putting the ring on his slender, pale ring finger.

"That's cool. Anyways, how come I never meet or saw you" You ask "well I like to get out of camp sometimes. It gets pretty lonely when you have no one to comfort you" he says as he looks down again.

You really wanted to hug him right there. But you couldn't because you rarely know the boy.

"So your only sibling was Hazel?" You ask "No. I used to have a sister, Bia-" his voice then weakened.

"I'm sorry Nico. You don't have to tell me if you don't want to" you say
"No no I'll tell you." He says.

You two then sat on a long log. He then explained it to you.

When it finished, you shed some tears. You felt sorry for that kid. Losing your sister in such a young age.

You then didn't realize that you were holding his hand. When you did, you pulled away, blushing.

Nico realized and blushed too. "I better be going now" he says as he looks at the sky. It was sundown.

"Oh yeah me too, see you later Nico, sorry for your lose" you say.

You then headed to go eat dinner. You then saw the Hades table and saw Nico there poking his food.

Poor kid.

(The Next Day)

After breakfast you decided to go back to the meadow.

You went and saw something shining again.
Nico's skull ring.

You went to pick it up but see a pale hand reaching for it too. Nico's.

You then looked up and saw his shining dark pair of brown eyes. Both of your eyes meet.

He then leans in, you do too. So close too touch those lips. You then feel his pink lips touch yours.

You both then kissed.

He lays back on all of the beautiful flowers. You two then kiss for a long time. Him twirling his skull ring.
