Chapter 61: "Hey! Oh Sorry..."

Y/n walked through the woods with her best friend, Nico. All this time, y/n wanted to confess. Confess that she had a crush on him.

But it was so fucking hard!

She always hyperventilates or something when she's close to the confession, so you would always drop the topic you two were talking about.

"Uh y/n is there anything specific you wanted me to know about?" Nico asked. You looked at him. "Uh no why would you say that?!" You ask, worried.

"Because your making jazz hands to the ground and you only do that when your nervous about something. And your always dropping some topics we are talking about." He explains.

You look at your hands and it was exactly what he explained. "Oh sorry..." You say rubbing your arm. He nods but then does one of his rare laughs. "C'mon lets go to my cabin, it's almost sundown." He tells you slowly leading the way back to Cabin 13.

You smile, "Y- yeah!"

You and him then landed on the Arena. Then you two could see campers with boxes of streamers.

"What?" Nico whispers confused. "Let's check it out" You say. He then nods and went to go investigate, you followed.

The seven were talking when they then see you two. "Hey guys!" Percy said as he had a red solo cup in his hand, filled with blue cherry cola.

"Hey... What's happening here?" Nico asks. "Haven't you heard?, especially you y/n. It's Hailey's birthday!" Piper answered.

Your eyes widen, "Oh shit! I don't have a birthday gift!" You say. "No need to! I have too many! And because Frank is letting me ride him as a horse, and so with that my birthday is pretty much complete!" Hailey said behind Frank.

"Aren't you buddy?" She says smiling at Frank. "Yeah..." Frank blankly said.
"And Hazels gonna take vids!" Hailey said.

"Yep!" Hazel replied.

"Oh ok.... I'm still sorry." You say to Hailey. "Don't worry y/n. Anyways, you guys better get a jacket real soon it's gonna start getting chilly." She says.

"Yeah." Nico said. "I'll be right back. My aviator is in my cabin." He says. "My jacket is in there too isn't it?" You ask, he nods. "I'll get it." Nico says slowly starting to shadow travel but you grabbed his wrist. "I'll come with." You tell him. He nods and shrugs he then covers his face as you two shadow travel.

"Get it quick, y/n!" Hailey yells.

You grin knowing your crazy, funny and weird friend. You two then land on Nico's bed, on top of his and your jacket. "Oh we found that fast!" You say, laughing.

"I can't hold it in anymore." Nico mumbles able for you to hear. "Wha-?" You begin to ask until you feel a pair of soft lips on yours. It was Nico's. Wait Nico's?.

He immediately pulled back after seeing your flabbergasted expression. "I'm- I'm sorry!!" He yells.
"No Nico." You say
"Eh?-"

You then press your lips on his. "I like it."

"So does this mean that you-" He begins to ask "All this time." You replied. There you finally confessed!.

But then, the doors bursted open.

"Hey!!! What up?!" Hailey yells with Leo next to her. "Oh sorry..." She says after seeing you two...

Leo chuckles.

After a few seconds of awkward silence, y/n spoke up. "You two better come fast!, Leo's gonna set fireworks!" Hailey explains.

"C'mon Leo lets go!" Hailey yells going down the hallway. "Yeah." Leo replies, grinning while lastly looking at you two and closing the door.

(You two then could hear Hailey and Leo singing the Happy Birthday song but in Spanish.)

You then look at Nico's face and it was as red as a tomato. "Wanna go?" You ask after that awkward incident. "Sure, only because I bet she's still going to come back." He replies as you laugh.

You two then went to Hailey's birthday party!.
