Chapter 84 | Christmas Day

"Y/n!, y/n!, wake up!" Nico exclaims in full excitement. "Nico... Sleep... More..." You murmur hiding your face in your pillow. "But it's Christmas!"

You immediately rose up, "Presents!"

He gave you the 'dur' look. You roll your eyes and rushed out the door. Practically sliding down the stairs. You then see the tree you and Nico decorated yesterday (December 24) with all of its lights turned on. Your eyes widen and went directly to the tree.

"Excited huh?" Nico asks while wearing a Santa hat on his head. "Yes Santa Claus." You respond. He laughs and puts his hand under his arm like he usually does.

He sits right besides you and you two observed the tree of a little bit. Until he looked at you. You eventually look back and started to lean in, touching foreheads. Until the bell rung.

You got up and left to go open the door, leaving a disappointed Nico on the floor. You heard a group of people chattering and rapidly opened the door. There stood the seven.

"Hey guys!" You greeted them. "Hey y/n!" Percy says. You look at them and see that they were all carrying present boxes. Once you all settled around the tree Hazel decided to go make hot chocolate. The second time Leo needed to go to the toilet. And then Annabeth needed to wash her hands because she's Annabeth.

Nico was about to get agitated until Leo yelled, "Present time!"

You all then exchanged presents. You got many wonderful things until an action changed your life. Literally.

You all saw the last present. It was a small box. Maybe half the size of your palm. Nico then gently grasped it with his two hands. With much care he begins to say, "And this present is for y/n."
"Hand it over then." You joke.

"Uh about that." He says looking down, Pipers face then got plastered with a grin. You study her for a moment until Nico bend down on one knee already unraveling the present.

And that present, was an engagement ring.

"Y/n" he says softly. Your eyes enlarged you stood there frozen. And mostly everyone did except Piper of course. "We've been together for almost a year now." He tells you, you nod. "And we've shared secrets, foretold each other about everything in our past, our present... So to get it together." He says dorky "Will you marry me y/n?"

You stood there and quickly tackled him and gave him a huge near hug. Mostly everyone did, Percy and Jason messing his hair in the process. After that, he looks deeply into your eyes, "so?"

You lean near him and kiss him, "yes."

And after that everyone congratulated you two and left, Hazel leaving, crying in happiness but also leaving hot cocoa. You two then sat near the fire and drank it, holding your hands, Nico touching the ring he placed on your ring finger.
