"It's always the Pageant girls..."
Nezu hummed as he sipped his tea. "Funny, most people don't expect it. Did you know we have some sort of altercation surrounding the pageant every year?" He asked, looking up at the two girls.
Kira had her arms crossed, leaning backwards. Emi had her legs crossed at the ankles, sitting up with her hands on her knee and a not so ladylike expression on her face.
"Of course normally it's not on stage." Nezu noted when he received no response. "In front of the entire student body."
"Can't you just expel her?" Emi scoffed.
Nezu looked up again. "Who?" He asked in seemingly innocent confusion.
Emi rolled her eyes and gestured at Kira. "Everyone saw her shove me for no reason. Then she punched me way harder than I hit her!" Emi explained.
"Oh yes..." Nezu nodded. "But that was after you attempted to sabotage both Kokoa and Itsuka right? Oh and after you called both hero course students 'Brutes' and 'Neanderthals' correct? Or do I have the order of events scrambled up?" The principal asked. This shut Emi up.
"Right, that's what I thought." Nezu nodded after she looked down. "The other girls stepped up and confessed to all of your shenanigans. So the obvious choice would be to expell you of course."
Kira covered her mouth and looked away. 'Damn.'
"Kira. I'm sorry, but you are removed from the Pageant. I hope you understand." Nezu frowned at Kira. "You can't get away with fighting, even if you had good reason."
Kira stood up and shrugged. "Eh, I only did it to beat her anyways." She admitted. "So whose winning?"
"They're about to crown Kendo now." He smiled. "You can go watch if you want. I'm waiting for Emi's parents."
"Cool. Bye Emi." Kira said with a smile and a wave. Walking out.
"Well that was a horrible experience." Kira thought with a sigh. Walking down a few halls. She considered tracking down her friends, but she figured they were still down at the stage. And Kira kinda wanted to Lay low after all of that.
Kira jogged down the hall and pushed open the door to the stairway. The actual halls of UA seemed to be completely abandoned, accept for her.
And someone else.
She bumped into someone the moment she walked through the door. "Shit so-" she looked up, recognizing a face just before it leaned towards her.
Bakugou cut her off quickly, pressing a kiss against her lips without hesitation. Kira's mind ran in circles trying to comprehend what was happening. Bakugou's emotions flooded in quickly and made that significantly harder for her.
He pulled back.
"Holy shit what's gotten into you?" Kira whispered in shock, raising her eyebrows.
"I um... I like your dress." He whispered, holding her waist and leaning close to her ear. "Sorry."
"I'm not complaining." She mumbled in response to his apology. "Just-"
He kissed her again, her back was against the cinder block walls of the stairway. His hand reached up to cup her face while the other held her waist firmly.
A lot of thoughts ran through Kira's head. Most were completely surprised and caught off guard. Which wasn't usually possible, so she enjoyed it. But what surprised her the most was that Bakugou had started this, he wasn't usually the one to make the first move. Both times they kissed Kira had been the one to kiss him, now here he was. Shoving her against a wall because he 'liked her dress'. Not that Kira was complaining, because she definitely wasn't.
He broke it again. "Sorry." Katsuki whispered, trying to calm down. He took a breath and so did Kira.
"Wow KitKat. Where did that come from?" She asked, rubbing her mouth. She was joking around but her heart was racing in her chest. She felt wobbly and as nervous as she had been up on stage.
"I told ya." He whispered, leaning towards her neck. "I like the dress." Katsuki whispered, his hot breath against her neck. Kira blushed. She didn't really know what to think of that. "You're really fucking pretty, you know that right?" He asked, before biting a spot of her neck he had kissed.
Kira gripped his shoulder tightly but didn't respond to his compliment. Pulling back. "Hey, no Hickies." She said suddenly. Not wanting to have to cover up any marks.
He grumbling something and seemed slightly irritated by this limitation. But then he moved up and took her lips again. He held her waist and pushed her up against the wall, holding her tight. If anyone else ever touched her like this Kira would kill them, but she let Bakugou do what he wanted.
Her face was red and she was flustered, but very happy with this sudden and uncalled for attention from him. "Fucking pretty." He cursed again, holding her face.
He was calling her pretty... He had never actually verbally said that to her. Sure he's thought it before, but he's never said it. Kira gripped the fabric of his band shirt tightly. She wanted to hear him say that again. She felt like a little kid. Giddy.
"Thanks, you're pretty c-cute too." Kira said, trying to keep her cool. Katsuki smirked slightly at her nervous stutter. Leaning in closer. Waiting, a part of her longing for affirmation from him.
"Damn it Kira." He grumbled, suddenly thinking about what he was doing.
"You don't seem to be too happy about this." Kira observed. Wrapping her arms around his neck. She hung onto his every word, every thought. Every signal he sent out.
She felt so happy. But he felt... She couldn't tell.
"You drive me crazy. You know that?" Bakugou asked with a frown. "I don't know what to do when I feel like this." He brushed her hair away from her forehead.
"Do whatever you want." Kira shrugged. "It doesn't really matter." She said with a smile. Kissing him on the cheek.
"You sure about that?" Katsuki asked. "Seems like it does matter." He mumbled to himself. He was back to the conflicted feeling. Not knowing what he's supposed to do or what he wants. That feeling was the reason he didn't kiss her often. "I don't... What if... God I can't even think right, I've never felt like this before. I kinda hate it but I also never want it to stop. I just want her."
He was afraid, though he wouldn't admit it. Kira understood. Or at least she tried too. He was afraid of so many things, of messing this up by changing things. By rushing in. He was afraid Of heartbreak. Of being distracted or of being too attached. Of letting her down. Of letting everyone else down.
Kira sighed, realizing this little moment might be coming to a close as Bakugou's sense set in.
Kira never brought it up. But it kind of hurt her. How every time they kissed or got close to it. Everytime he thought of kissing her or made a move. He seemed to almost...
Regret it.
Thinking of how stupid he was for acting like this. Or all the things that could go wrong. Like when he got intimate with her... It was against his better judgement.
Kira pressed her lips together and pulled back. "Come on." She said, taking his hand.
"What?" He asked, looking up. He seemed confused at how she pulled away.
"I want to walk around. I haven't seen any of the stands." Kira explained, pulling him behind her. Their hands held each other's, gently.
"O-oh right." Bakugou said, looking at her as she pulled him down the stairs. "I don't know what to fucking do. But I feel like I messed up somehow."
"You didn't do anything Katsuki." Kira rolled her eyes with a joking smile. Stuffing her own insecurities and nerves down. They were his problem. He couldn't help how he felt, it was her fault for intruding.
"Come on!"
