84: 𝐼𝑡'𝑠 𝑚𝑦 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑔!

"No!-" Kira argued.

"WE KIDNAPPED ENDEAVOR'S WIFE!!! OH MY GOD I AM SOOOO DEAD!" Hawks said, panicking again.

"IT'S NOT KIDNAPPING!!!" Kira rolled her eyes. "She's perfectly happy to be here, right Rei?"

The woman nodded. "It's much better than back there... With the monster and everything."

Kira pointed at her. "See!! That's consent! Besides he basically kidnapped her in the first place."

"Just explain what the hell is going on NOW." Hawks demanded.

"Okay so listen." Kira cleared her throat, ready to go into a full explanation of everything that was going on.

That was until they got rear-ended.

"AW FUCK!!" Hawks cursed. Speeding up again. A car was behind them and following behind it was the Nomu. Running full speed again, right behind the car.

Kira narrowed her eyes at it. Why did it stop in the first place?

Behind the wheel of the car was a rugged man with a cigarette hanging from his mouth. Kira didn't recognize him but he seemed to be willing to kill her. Beside him was another lanky man with a device next to his mouth that he was speaking into.

"TURN LEFT!!! THEN MAKE ANOTHER RIGHT!!" Kira yelled at Hawks who did as she asked. Roughly drifting around corners.

"All those years playing Mario kart are sure paying off."

"MARIO KART?!" Kira asked. "Don't you have any car chase experience?!"

"I FLY KIRA!!! I FLY!!!" Hawks yelled back. "IT'S MY THING! IT'S WHAT I DO!!! I don't drive!!! DRIVING IS FOR NORMAL PEOPLE!!!"

"AH!!" Kira and everyone else in the car screamed as the Nomu caught up with them. Ramming into the side of the car with its shoulder. Even though it was the size of a slightly above average human, it still seemed to have the strength of a truck.

The car started to spin out and Hawks whipped it around completely. It faced the Nomu and other car head on.

He punched the gas again and hit the Nomu before swerving and heading back down the road they came from.

Kira was suddenly very glad Rei had buckled her up previously. Because if she hadn't Kira would have probably flown out the window already.

"WHERE ARE WE GOING?!" Kira yelled. That's all they could do right now. Her heart pounded in her chest as she braced herself against her car door.

"I DON'T KNOW!!!" Hawks yelled back. "Speed, I am speed."

Thanks to Hawk's quick maneuvering the other car had to perform a three point turn. Which took just enough time to give Hawks the lead. The Nomu pulled itself up from the concrete they had flattened him too and started to bound after them again. Staying close to the car.

"I got it!" Kira whispered.

"WHAT?!" Hawks and Rei asked at the same time.

"The Nomu is being controlled by the men in the car... That's why it stopped, if it Gets out of range it shuts down and waits for a new command." Kira whispered.

"Which means if we take out or lose the car we lose the Nomu." Hawks mumbled.

"In theory." Kira whispered. "Just keep driving." She unbuckled and shifted in the car.

"No you should sit down." Rei advised.

"Just drive steady Hawks. Oh yeah if anyone asks after all this is done..." Kira pressed the button to open the sunroof. "All this was done with your permission, I would hate to have my license suspended again."
