Kira looked as the boy was taken in. Completely bound to some sort of Chair. A thick pane of glass separating him and her.

His hair was chopped short. Shorter than she had ever seen. It was somewhat like his father's, but less on the top. It possibly was shaved when he first arrived and just grew out as her own hair did. It was still clearly red and white, as it was when they were kids. As it was when they were classmates.

He didn't look up. Kira had been told he only received visits from Endeavor. She understood his hatred for such meetings.

She stared at him before clearing her throat. "Shoto." She said, her voice almost breaking.

His head shot up. Eyes wide, showing more emotion than he had since she last saw him.

"Kira!" He gasped. Standing up from the chair. Kira had asked for his heavy restraints to be lifted. But he kept on his handcuffs and arm bands. "You're... Is this real?"

"Yes. It is." Kira nodded.

"I'm sorry-"

"Don't say anything." Kira stopped him, putting up her hand. "Just listen... Please."

He nodded. Staring at her with wide eyes. Her hair looked a little different, she seemed to be smaller. Like she lost weight. But most notable was her eye.

Three long scars crossed over her eye. Digging through her eyebrow and cheek.

Kira hesitated. Knowing he was in shock just by seeing her, but his relief was obvious. He was relieved to see her alive and free.

"I want you to recant your confession." Kira said, her voice slightly electrontic as it came through the small speakers between them.

He stared at her in shock. "What?" He whispered.

"You lied. You didn't hurt me or Mineta. You said you did to get away from your father right? You were involved with the league of villains but you never killed anyone." Kira said. Looking him in the eye, she said that as though it was an obvious truth.

Not like she was literally gaslighting all of Japan's legal system. And Shoto on top of that.

"I... what?" He asked, blinking in confusion. What was she talking about?

"You lied to Tammy. Because you didn't want to move back in with your abusive father, Endeavor." She shrugged, leaning back in her chair.

Here's the thing.

You didn't have to be a genius to know that Kira was lying. Everyone knew Todoroki was guilty. Because he had confessed.

But if he retracted his confession... There was no actual evidence of him killing Mineta or kidnapping Kira. And if the person who he was accused of kidnapping not only denied it but helped him get out of jail?

You would need to be a damn good investigator to get Shoto back into jail. Without Kira testifying against him they had no witnesses other than a boy who had a dream.

Basically Kira's plan was to Gaslight, gatekeep, girl boss Shoto's way out of the slammer.

"...But no one-"

"Two weeks ago a man claiming to be Endeavor's oldest son leaked a video speaking against his abuse. Since then half of Japan has accepted that as fact. You saying this now would make perfect sense, especially if a confession and divorce from your mother follows." Kira stated. Right as he was about to argue that no one would believe him if he spoke out alone against endeavor.

"Natsuo?" He whispered. Then shook his head. "No..."

"Touya Todoroki is a member of the league of villains. Known as Dabi." She said with a frown.

"Dabi..." Todoroki whispered as pieces of the puzzle slowly fit together in his mind. "Holy shit... How did I not-"

"That doesn't matter right now. What matters is that the world is going nuts over the most recent battle with the league of villains, and we need as many allies as possible." Kira stood up. "Japan needs you to step back up and rejoin the heroes, Shoto Todoroki. Your quirk... Your quirks are what we need to fight against your brother and Shigaraki. We need you."

They couldn't fight Touya without him. And they needed him to help face Shigaraki.

"Is... Is this real?" Shoto asked a second time. Kira extended her hand, even though Shoto couldn't touch it through the glass he felt what it represented.

An opportunity.

Needless to say Endeavor basically no longer had custody over Shoto. Since he was currently under investigation for domestic abuse.

And since the state of Japan was well... Horrible. It was easy to get away with pretty much anything. And Kira was taking full advantage of that.

By that she means she was kidnapping Shoto and making Her uncle act as a temporary guardian of Shoto. It took about two of his fifty lawyers to get it done in less than twenty four hours.

"So... You kids okay?" All Might asked nervously. Glancing to the backseat where both Kira and Shoto sat.

Obviously All Might had been hesitant over letting the boy who kidnapped his niece into their home. But Kira had explained everything to him and he felt it was best to trust her...

"Yes sir." Shoto said, looking down at his shoes. "Hungry... Can't... Prison... Disgusting... Food..."

"Can we get food?" Kira asked. Catching on to his thoughts. She was trying to get better at that, reading Shoto's mind. Trying to piece together his odd thoughts.

She wondered briefly what would happen if she consumed his blood. If that would bypass whatever quirk all for one used on him.

"Sure." All Might said. Pulling into a drive through. Still eyeing the teen boy in his backseat nervously. Kira knew it would take a little time, but he would warm up to Shoto eventually.

Besides, they were going to come back to UA again. Once Nezu approved Shoto as a student once again. Unfortunately he had enough on his hands re-welcoming Midoriya, managing thousands of refugees and working on the UA defense system to make it strong enough to hold against Shigaraki's next attacks.

For now Kira, Her uncle and Shoto would go back home. She would get him rehabilitated after spending almost a month in a high security prison and fill him in on everything happening in Japan.

All Might rolled down the window once they pulled up to the speaker.

"I would like two kid's meals please."
