"Wait. So you're actually a mother?" Kira asked, raising her eyebrows.
"What did you think?" Momma asked with a frown. The man stepped in, glancing around nervously. He didn't seem to have half the confidence his mother did.
Kira shrugged. "I kinda assumed that was just a weird fetish."
"Fetish? What's that supposed to mean- what am I doing here? Whose this? Is it that girl I heard mother and the others talking about?" He thought looking over at Kira. Who knew immediately that this guy was no villain. He was just following his mommy around.
"This is my son, Zane Ren." Momma said. Ignoring Kira's explanation. "Zane, this is Kira Kokoa."
"If this is Kira Kokoa... Then doesn't that mean she's a mindreader?! That's what Mother said. She said she was going to give me her quirk..." Zane tilted his head slightly as he looked at Kira. Unlike his mother, his yellow eyes looked almost... Innocent.
"Let me guess... He's quirkless?" Kira asked with a frown. "So the whole time you were traumatizing me as a child you had a kid at home?"
"Oh don't be so dramatic. I was doing my job. If you had done yours things would have gone much more smoothly." Oshita crossed her arms. "You can still redeem yourself now though."
"I'm good." Kira frowned. "I'd rather not be your pet."
"You always over exaggerate everything don't you?" Momma asked. She looked back at Zane. "I'm so glad you didn't have a rebellious stage." She told him.
He didn't respond, just stared at Kira. His face held a mix of panic, disgust and fear. Kira felt kinda bad for the guy, just as bad as he felt for her.
"It's different now. I don't want this anymore, just talking about it with her, It seemed like it wasn't real. A fantasy where I had a quirk... But this girl is REAL. She's a real human that's gonna get hurt because of me."
"What happens if his head explodes?" Kira asked, she sat back down casually.
"I'm sorry?" Both said at the same time. Momma's voice was suspicious while Zane's was definitely terrified.
"You can't just hand my quirk over to someone. My mind is specifically catered to it, who knows what would happen to some rando." Kira nodded at him. "Don't you care?"
"Explode?" Zane whispered, looking at his mother. "Could a quirk really be that powerful? Mother said it wouldn't be dangerous at all."
"She's just trying to scare you Zane. To keep her quirk." Momma explained, though she didn't seem convinced of that. "She's manipulating us." Momma said coldly, eyeing Kira through the bars.
"Whatever you say." Kira yawned. "Don't say I didn't warn you."
"It's help us or loosing your quirk Kira." Momma said, starting to walk out. "I'll give you a few more days to think about it."
Zane slowly followed his mom, still watching Kira nervously. A frown on his face.
"Just know that if you're quirkless... That makes you useless." Momma thought. Staring at Kira with her cold eyes.
"And you know what I do to people who are no longer of use to me."

"Where are you going?" Midoriya asked Todoroki as he walked across the dorms in civilian clothes.
"Me?" Shoto asked. "I'm going with my sister... To visit my mother." He said, glancing around.
"Oh... You haven't seen her since you came to the dorms have you?" Midoriya asked in a quieter voice. Knowing Todoroki didn't tell everyone about his mother and her current living situation.
"No." Todoroki looked down with a frown.
"Are you nervous?" Midoriya asked him. Todoroki didn't respond for awhile.
"I just.... Want her to be proud of me."

"You sure you're okay with me leaving early?" Fuyumi asked Shoto and their mother.
Ren Todoroki was a quiet woman. With sleek white hair and grey eyes that were missing a certain glint that most people had. She had lost it a long time ago.
"Don't worry. I'll call a driver." Shoto said to his older sibling. Fuyumi smiled at him before pulling her mother into a hug.
"I love you mom, I'll be back next week. I promise." She said, trying to hide the tears behind her glasses. "Love you too Shoto."
Todoroki stiffened when she bent down to hug him. He didn't say anything when she told him she loved him. He didn't understand how she could.
How anyone could.
"Shoto..." His mother whispered, glancing at him, they shared a long silence after fuyumi left. She looked uneasy, which was just a little unusual. Normally she was quite calm, at peace. Which was abnormal for a woman who was forced to spend the last seven years of her life in a psych ward.
"Yes? Mother?" Shoto asked her with a frown. He was nervous. Nervous she somehow knew everything he had done. That she knew and the guilt was killing her too.
"He hasn't..." She stopped and looked down. "He hasn't asked yet... Has he?" She whispered. Almost like she was scared of being heard. Shoto's face hardened and he did what he did best.
He lied.
"No. I think.... I think he's forgotten about us." He said, voice filled with secrets and lies.
His mom smiled softly. "I hope so." She whispered, looking up at him. "I just want you to live a normal peaceful life Shoto... I'm scared that I sabotaged that for you for my own safety."
"You didn't mom." Shoto smiled and put a hand on her shoulder.
"Everything is alright. I promise."He lied.

"Son of endeavor."
Shoto turned quickly at the sound of a raspy voice coming from an alley.
"Show yourself." Shoto snapped, holding up a hand covered in flames.
"Jumpy aren't we?" The man chuckled and stepped farther into the light. His face covered in scars and metal. "Scared you're gonna get caught again?"
"Of course it's you. What do you guys want?" Shoto asked, shaking out the fire.
"Nothing. Just looking around, thought I'd say hi." Dabi chuckled and lit himself a cigarette. "Nice place here, how's your mom?"
"She's fine." Shoto said through clinched teeth.
"That's good." Dabi said. "But you do realize we aren't so convinced of your loyalties. Or rather I'm not."
"Why not? I've done everything necessary. Shoto said, fists clinched. "I've killed for them."
"I know I know." The man chuckled. "You should have killed the girl too. You're pretty soft, Compress said you almost looked concerned for her."
"I wasn't." Shoto lied. "And I didn't kill her because I know her quirk might be useful to the league."
"Right." Dabi said, sounding unconvinced.
"Why do you care anyways? What's in it for you?" Shoto asked him with narrow eyes.
"If I was you, I'd be more concerned for my Mommy." Dabi dropped his cigarette right in a patch of dead grass, that swiftly caught fire. "This place is awful... Flammable." The villain stomped the fire out before it spread to the gate.
"Fine. What do you want me to do?" Shoto asked, catching on to the man's warning.
"Stop getting caught." Dabi responded with a shrug. "And if you do... You don't say a word. We have connections everywhere. The moment you sing?"
The boot that stomped out the cigarette caught fire and it started to creep towards Shoto. "This place will be on the news. Crazy freak accident, killed everyone." Dabi chuckled as Shoto put the fire out with his ice.
"Tragic."
