40: 𝐸𝑣𝑒𝑟 𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑐𝑒

She slapped him.

Not hard, it was a pathetic little movie slap. Born from pure anger and surprise. She hadn't even thought before she did it.

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR!?!?!"
He screamed, more angry then he had been at the beginning. He clinched his fists as his whole body shook.

"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" Kira yelled back with just as much anger.

"ME?! YOU FUCKING SLAPPED ME FOR SAYING I LOVE YOU!!" Bakugou pointed at her. "AND YOU ASKED ME TO SAY IT!!!"

"NO!" Kira yelled, shaking her head. "NO!" She was crying now. Fucking sobbing. "You can't do this to me Katsuki!!"

"WHY THE HELL ARE YOU CRYING?!" Bakugou yelled in confusion.

"WHY AM I CRYING?!" Kira scoffed and rubbed her eyes. "Katsuki I have loved you since the day I fucking met you. I have done EVERYTHING for you. I have been waiting for you to say that to me!!" She confessed through her tears and sobs.

Ever since she sat across from him at that table and he slapped her cup. Ever since then she had been desperately in love with this boy.

This stupid, reckless, angry boy.

Every time he surprised her. Everytime she watched him blow something up with his bare hands. Every argument and every kiss. She had fallen deeper and deeper in love with Katsuki Bakugou.

But that didn't mean she was willing to take this.

She sobbed and shook her head. "AND YOU JUST THROW IT AWAY TO WIN AN ARGUMENT?! THAT'S NOT FAIR KATSUKI!"

He ran a hand through his hair, taking in her point and realizing how badly he messed up. "Listen I'm sorry Kira I-"

"NO!" Kira shook her head again. Not wanting to hear his apology. "NO!"

"Kira I'm sorry!" Bakugou said, he grabbed her arms as she started to walk away. "I just don't want to lose you okay?!"

"Why do you think you're going to lose me?!" Kira asked with a groan. "Have I not been there for you enough?! Have I not made it obvious enough how much I fucking love you?! I talk to one guy and you freak out!?!"

Bakugou had snapped out of his anger. He knew this was stupid, he felt guilty over how he had treated this. He should have acted differently towards her, now he was desperate to make things better again.
"I don't know Kira I'm sorry-"

Kira shoved away from him. "I need some air." She said, walking to the door.

"Please don't leave, I'm sorry." Bakugou pleaded. "It's not my place I didn't-"

"Just-" Kira stopped him and ran a hand through her hair. "I just need to think okay? See you later." She walked out and slammed the door. The loud sound was the only proof of her lingering anger.

She needed to calm down.

She walked down to her dorm room, rubbing her eyes. She changed out of her gym clothes and into her school uniform, with a hoodie instead of a blazer.

She was leaving campus.

Not for long, but also not with permission. Nezu could kiss her ass.

She needed to think, the best place she did that was at the police station. Naomosa would still be there. She knew it. He'd want to take her back at first, but she could convince him to let her stay and help.

She needed a distraction. This case would be perfect. Minoru Mineta. A perverted highschool student that was killed at age fifteen for unknown reasons. Kira was gonna find out why.

And she was going to figure it out tonight.

She avoided the walkways. Not wanting to be seen by the cameras around the buildings. Besides, a walk in the woods would help clear her head.

The sun was just now starting to set, golden light reached at Kira through the trees. It was beautiful. Kira was too mad to enjoy the beauty of the scenery.

She was so mad at Bakugou. Mad in a way you can only feel towards someone you're completely in love with. A part of her flushed. Dispite the circumstance....

They had just confessed to each other.

Kira wanted to go running back to him. Wrap her arms around him and apologize for screaming at him. For slapping him. But petty anger kept her from that.

Besides, if he really cared he would have followed her. He wouldn't have taken no for an answer. He wouldn't have let her walk away.

Though if he had done that, it probably would have pissed her off just as much as him letting her be. She just wasn't in the place to be happy. She was angry at every single turn, she needed time to think.

Each step brought her farther and farther away from Bakugou and the dorms. There were a few birds in the area. A squirrel or two scrambling in the fallen leaves. Kira took deep calming breaths. Trying to settle her anger.

Then she heard someone. Turning slightly she tilted her head. Feeling uneasy. She could hear footsteps, even a few words from thoughts as someone came closer to her. She could feel someone else's bubbling curiosity as they approached. But that didn't help with her nerves.

She glanced around, knowing she wasn't supposed to be there. Should she hide? Or just play it off like she was going for a walk and not leaving campus?

Though she didn't know who this could be. Who else would be walking around these woods so close to dark? Was Kira not the only angry, sad teen wondering around?

The steps got closer and closer until they stopped not far from her.

"Kira?"
