Kira held onto her mom's hand tightly. She was seven. Barely up to her mom's hip, her family had just started to notice the quirk related changes in her. So it was time to take her to a specialized doctor.

She was a little nervous. She didn't know what was going to happen here, what they were going to do. She was a shy but friendly little kid. Open to socializing and talking with most anyone, but at first in a more timid way. Towards adults at least.

"Mommy has to finish some paperwork okay Kira? Why don't you go into the little room and play?" Kira's mom squeezed her hand and Kira nodded. She looked at the toys and puzzles in the room with excitement. There were books and blocks and even a TV playing silly cartoons.

The seven year old walked away from her mom as she sat down next to a kind looking woman with white hair and grey
eyes. Another mother.

Kira walked into the play room and bounced up and down on her toes. Looking for what she wanted to play with first.

She had assumed there weren't any other kids in there. Because of how quiet it was. But when she looked around she saw a little boy tucked into a corner holding a book. Kira gasped at him, he had eyes and hair she had never seen before.

"I like your hair!" She said walking over to the boy. He had red and white hair. And blue and grey eyes. Like his body was in two halves. His skin was fair and blemishless.

He looked up at her and blinked a few times. But he didn't respond, just kinda looked at her. He tilted his head.

Kira copied him. Tilting her own head. "Can you hear me?" She asked. Walking closer and poking his shoulder. "Wanna play?"

"My... Hair?" He asked with a frown. Putting his book down to touch his head.

"Yeah! It looks like Christmas candy. Red is my favorite color. So is purple! What's your favorite color?" Kira asked, sitting next to him.

"Color?" The little boy asked. "I like... White."

"Whites kinda boring. Red is cooler." Kira frowned.

"Oh I'm... Sorry." The boy looks down. Kira got the feeling he was sad. She didn't mean to make him sad.

"No no. White is good! It's... Like snow!" Kira smiled and pat his head. Trying to make amends.

He squinted his eyes at her and made a confused face. Then he smiled a little. "I like snow." He mumbled.

"Me too! You can make snow men... And snow girls... And snow angels! Sometimes me and my dad throw snow balls at each other." Kira said with an enthusiastic smile. "What's your name?"

"Sh...Shoto. Shoto Todoroki." He answered nervously.

"Hi Shoto! I'm Kira Kokoa!" Kira smiled. "Want to play together?"

"...Play?" Shoto asked. He didn't play very much. He knew his siblings did all the time. Sometimes he saw them with a ball outside. Tossing it at each other. But otherwise he didn't see them often.

"Yeah! Like... Ooo we could play with these toy horses. Or with the blocks!" Kira pulled out a box. "We have to be careful not to make a big mess though. My mom says not to make messes at places that aren't our house. Because then sometimes someone else has to clean it up." Kira said, blabbing about anything that came to her mind.

"And you can stack them up like this!" Kira said. Putting three brightly colored blocks on top of eachother. "And make a house! Oh! For the horses to live in!"
