He smirked knowingly and leaned closer, his eyes twinkling with mischief. I closed my eyes, anticipation building within me. Just when I thought he would kiss me, he surprised me by taking my hand and softly kissing the back of it, right at the spot where Arun had kissed me before.

The unexpectedness of the gesture made me open my eyes, and I watched as he continued to kiss my back palm, his lips moving gently over my skin as if he were erasing Arun’s kisses. His gaze never wavered from mine, and the intensity in his eyes made my stomach flutter with butterflies.

His lips moved slowly and tenderly over my hand, and I couldn't look away. There was something so intimate and thoughtful about his actions that left me mesmerized. As he kissed my hands, I felt a warmth spreading through me, and my awe grew with each passing moment.

Just then, he broke the silence, his voice soft yet earnest. "Shivangi, that day, if I hadn't told them you were my sister, there would have been rumors everywhere about us dating. Our privacy would have been taken away, and your reputation could have been affected. I didn't want that for you."

He paused, his eyes searching mine for understanding. "That's why I told them you were my sister. I didn't mean it at all, trust me," he said, his voice filled with sincerity. His words hung in the air, and I realized the depth of his concern for me, and the lengths he was willing to go to protect me. The butterflies in my stomach fluttered even more wildly, as I looked at him, feeling a mix of gratitude and affection.

"Then who am I to you?" I asked, curiosity and a hint of vulnerability in my voice.

He looked at me with a gentle smile. "You are my babydoll," he said tenderly. I couldn't help but chuckle at his affectionate term and, feeling playful, I asked, "Aur kitni ladkiyon ko yeh same cheez boli hai?" I asked jokingly, raising an eyebrow.

"Sirf aapko," he replied sincerely, and a big smile spread across my face. The way he said "aap" made my heart flutter, as it showed respect and affection. It felt special knowing that he only called me this and no one else. But just as I was basking in the warmth of his words, he continued, "Baaki sab ko toh darling, sweetheart, yeh sab..."

My smile disappeared instantly. I glared at him, feeling a mix of hurt and anger. His eyes widened in shock, realizing he had said something he shouldn't have. The playful atmosphere vanished, replaced by tension. I pulled my hands back from his hold and pushed him away to create space between us. Without giving him a chance to explain, I turned, opened the door, and left in anger, my heart pounding with a mix of emotions.

Rocky's POV

After Arun left, I went towards Shivangi. As she turned around, she found herself stuck to the door because I was standing just behind her. I asked why she didn't go with Arun and discussed a few other things, but I couldn't hold back any longer and finally asked the question that had been on my mind for a long time. I asked her if she liked Arun. She responded loudly that she didn't like him, which made me mentally chuckle at how foolish I had been. Yesterday, when she was drunk, she confessed that she likes me, and yet I still wondered if she liked Arun.

I then asked her the other questions that had been bothering me. Finally, I asked if she was okay if I kissed her since she let Arun kiss her. She absent-mindedly replied yes, and I smirked. I leaned forward, and she closed her eyes, thinking I was going to kiss her lips. However, as much as I wanted to kiss the life out of her, I couldn't bring myself to do it until she explicitly asked me to. If I misinterpreted her signals and kissed her when she didn't want it, it would be very wrong.
