----------Shivangi's POV
As soon as I stepped out of the room, there they were—Jennifer and Vani di—waiting with devilish smirks that told me I was in for it. They exchanged a knowing look the moment they spotted me, and I had a feeling this was going to get wild.
Jennifer took one look at me and let out a dramatic gasp. “Oh my god, Shivangi, what happened to you?” she said, her eyes wide with fake concern, but the teasing glint in them was impossible to miss. “Did you get attacked by a wild animal in there or something? Oh wait, I think I know the animal’s name.”
Vani di snickered, joining in with a mock thoughtful expression. “Yeah, Jen, I think his name starts with an ‘R’ and ends with ‘ocky’! Or am I wrong, Shivangi?” She leaned in, inspecting the hickeys with a playful smirk. “You’ve got more marks than a math notebook, girl. Looks like someone got a little too... enthusiastic.”
I crossed my arms, trying to keep my cool, but I could feel the heat rising in my cheeks. “You two are impossible,” I shot back, but my voice lacked any real bite. The smile creeping onto my face betrayed me.
Jennifer wasn’t about to let up, though. She nudged Vani, her eyes still locked on me. “Vani, do you think we should send a search party in there? I mean, poor Shivangi must’ve barely made it out alive. Rocky really went all out, huh?”
Vani di burst out laughing, slapping her knee. “No kidding! I bet she had to fight him off just to get the chance to breathe!” She clutched her sides, pretending to wipe a tear from her eye. “I mean, just look at her—she’s practically glowing like a light bulb!”
I rolled my eyes dramatically, but before I could fire back with a comeback, a familiar voice cut through the laughter. “And what are you three troublemakers gossiping about?” Rocky’s voice had that amused drawl to it, and he strolled over, sliding an arm around my waist like he owned the place—and me.
The second he joined us, Jennifer’s grin grew even wider. “Oh, speak of the devil! Rocky, care to explain why our dear Shivangi looks like she’s been through a war zone? I mean, the marks are pretty... self-explanatory, but we’d love to hear your side of the story.”
Rocky just smirked at her, pulling me even closer as if staking his claim. “Well, I think Shivangi’s more than capable of explaining... but I’m sure the evidence speaks for itself,” he shot back, raising an eyebrow with a challenging look. “Or maybe you’re just curious, Jen?”
Vani di playfully gasped, placing a hand on her chest. “Oh, look at him, owning up to it so confidently! Shivangi, you’ve got yourself a real piece of work here.”
Jennifer wasn’t about to back down either. She leaned in closer, stage-whispering, “Hey, Shivangi, don’t worry, we’re not judging. It’s just... you could’ve spared some mercy on the poor guy. Judging by those marks, it seems like Rocky barely made it out either. Did you leave any part of him un-bitten?”
Rocky chuckled low, glancing at me with a smug smile before looking back at them. “Oh, trust me, Jen. It’s all mutual. And for the record, I think Shivangi didn’t mind at all.” He said the last part with a wink, making my friends burst into laughter.
Vani di shook her head, still laughing. “Well, Shivangi, at least he’s honest! But girl, you’re going to have to spill the tea later. I want all the details—like, what exactly happened in that room?”
I finally managed to get my voice back and shot them a bold look. “Oh, I’ll tell you the details—just that they might be too hot for you two to handle,” I teased back, enjoying the shocked look on their faces.
