Rocky said, "Give Rudra a divorce," and I was taken aback. I couldn't believe he was suggesting this, not because I disagree with the idea but because it felt surreal that Rocky was the one bringing it up. This is a matter that should ideally come from my father, given the gravity of the situation.

I found myself conflicted. On one hand, it was comforting to have someone like Rocky on my side, advocating for my well-being and suggesting a solution. On the other hand, it was disheartening that this support was coming from someone outside my immediate family, rather than from my own parents.

I was deep in thought about these mixed feelings when Rocky called out again, "Shivangi, what's going on? Why aren't you responding?" I explained, "Rocky, as much as I want to pursue this option, it's not something I can easily do. Divorce has never been part of my family's history, and my father will never allow it."

"To hell with your parents," he said, his voice filled with frustration, though it remained calm. "They don't care about you. This is your life, Shivangi, and what matters is what you think and feel. Only your opinions are important to me."

He took a deep breath and continued, "Shivangi, you need to put everyone else aside for a moment. Just answer me clearly-do you want this divorce, yes or no?"

Without hesitation, I said, "Yes." But before I could say anything more, he interrupted me firmly. "No ifs and buts about it. You're going to go through with this divorce. You don't have to think about anyone else's feelings or opinions. I'm here for you, and as long as I'm around, no one will be able to harm you. Do you understand?"

I looked at him, my voice trembling with uncertainty. "Rocky, it's not that straightforward. If I go through with divorcing Rudra, my parents will completely cut ties with me. I'll be left with nothing-no support, no home. What will I do then? Where will I go?"

Rocky reached out, taking my hand gently. "Listen to me. As long as I'm here, you don't have to worry about any of that. For now, just try to relax and take care of yourself. Everything will work out in the end. But you need to be okay yourself first, alright?"

I looked into Rocky's eyes, searching for reassurance. "But it's hard to believe that everything will just work out. It feels like I'm on the edge of losing everything."

Rocky squeezed my hand gently, his gaze steady and full of conviction. "I understand it's frightening, but you need to trust that we can face this together. Your parents' reaction is their choice, but it doesn't define your worth or your future. You have me, and I'm committed to standing by your side through all of this."

He paused for a moment, letting his words sink in. "You've been strong enough to make this decision. Now, let yourself be strong enough to see it through. Think of this as the first step toward a new chapter in your life, one where you have the chance to build something better for yourself."

I took a deep breath, feeling the weight of his words. "Okay, Rocky. I'll try to trust in this. I'll try to focus on taking care of myself and not let the fear overwhelm me."

"That's all I ask," Rocky said softly. "Take it one step at a time. We'll handle the rest together. For now, just take care of yourself and get some rest. Everything will start to fall into place."

As I settled back, I felt a sense of tentative hope. With Rocky's support, maybe facing the future wouldn't be as daunting after all.

I leaned back, feeling a mix of relief and lingering anxiety. Rocky's presence was comforting, but the uncertainties of the future still loomed large.
