Shivangi's POV
"Wait, what? What about Priya?" I asked, my voice trembling with urgency. "Where is she?"
Rocky glanced at me, then sighed, his fingers tapping the steering wheel briefly before he spoke, his tone calm but carrying an underlying tension. "She’s dead."
My heart skipped a beat. "What?" I barely managed to whisper.
"Arun killed her," he continued, his voice steady but devoid of emotion. "Once her part in his plan was over, he... ended her."
My breath hitched, and my eyes widened in sheer horror. "Arun... did that?" The thought churned in my stomach like a toxic wave, leaving me nauseous. How could Arun, someone I once considered a friend, stoop so low? How could I have been so blind to the monster he was?
I gripped the edge of the seat tightly, my mind spiraling as guilt and disbelief clawed at me. How could I let someone like him into my life, into my trust? The thought of his betrayal, of what he was capable of, left me shaken to my core.
My thoughts were spiraling into a black hole of guilt and disbelief when the car came to an abrupt halt around and empty road, jerking me forward. The sudden stop snapped me out of my haze, and I whipped my head to Rocky, confused.
“Why did you—”
But before I could finish, he was already undoing his seatbelt, and the next second, his lips were on mine. The intensity of his kiss left me breathless, my mind going completely blank. This wasn’t new, yet every time, he managed to leave me feeling like the ground had disappeared beneath my feet.
As his lips moved against mine, his hand found my seatbelt, unbuckling it effortlessly. He didn’t stop as he pulled me closer, lifting me onto his lap in one swift motion. My heart pounded wildly, but I didn’t push him away. I couldn’t.
My hands instinctively clutched his shoulders, but I still hadn’t kissed him back. He pulled back slightly, his lips barely an inch from mine, his voice low but commanding.
“Kiss me, Shivangi,” he said, his tone dripping with frustration and desire.
Something about the way he said it sent a shiver down my spine, and before I could overthink, I leaned in and kissed him back. It wasn’t hesitant or shy—it was raw, intense, and full of everything I hadn’t been able to say.
His arms tightened around me, pulling me impossibly closer, as if letting go wasn’t an option. The car, the world, everything outside of this moment ceased to exist.
When he finally pulled back, his lips were slightly swollen, and his dark eyes bore into mine with an intensity that sent shivers down my spine.
“I want to eat you,” he said, his voice low and laced with mischief.
My eyes widened, and I stared at him, utterly scandalized. “Rocky!” I gasped. “How can you that so shamelessly?”
He sighed dramatically, leaning back against the seat as if I were the one being unreasonable. “Okay, fine,” he drawled, his lips twitching into a smirk. “Can I eat you… respectfully?” He emphasized the word with an exaggerated seriousness, his gaze never leaving mine.
I gaped at him, my cheeks burning furiously. “What is wrong with you?” I managed to choke out, swatting at his shoulder, though the corners of my lips betrayed a reluctant smile.
“Nothing,” he said with a shrug, his grin widening. “I’m just being honest. You’re the one who keeps acting like I’m supposed to be polite about everything.”
