As I was driving along the highway, something in the distance caught my eye. There, on a bridge ahead, I noticed someone standing by the railing, right at the very edge. It was enough to make my heart skip a beat. As I got closer, a wave of panic hit me because the figure looked so much like Shivangi. The way she stood, the shape of her silhouette—it all felt so familiar. I tried to convince myself it couldn’t be her, but deep down, I was terrified.

The situation quickly became all too real and far more alarming than I could have imagined. She wasn’t just leaning on the railing—she was standing on it, as if she was about to jump into the sea below. My heart sank, and fear gripped me like never before. The idea that she might actually jump was more than I could bear. Without thinking, I quickly pulled over to the side of the road and jumped out of the car. My legs moved on their own, carrying me toward her as fast as I could go, every step filled with growing dread.

Time seemed to slow down as I ran. Each second felt like an eternity, and all I could think about was getting to her before it was too late. I couldn’t let her do this. As I got closer, my worst fears were confirmed. It was Shivangi, standing right there on the railing, looking down at the water below. Her face was distant, her eyes empty, as if she was trapped in some dark place that I couldn’t reach. She looked so fragile, like she could be swept away by the slightest breeze.

Just as she was about to step off, I lunged forward, reaching out with everything I had. My hand caught hers just in time, and I pulled her back with all the strength I could muster. She almost lost her balance and fell, but I held on tightly, refusing to let her slip away. She stumbled, nearly collapsing from the shock of being pulled back. Her long hair had fallen across her face, making it difficult for me to see her clearly. For a moment, I didn’t want to look, afraid of what I might see.

But I needed to know. With trembling hands, I gently brushed her hair away from her face. My heart sank—it was Shivangi, my Shivangi, who had been ready to jump. The pain in her eyes was like a punch to the gut. I couldn’t believe things had gotten this bad, that she had felt so alone and hopeless. Seeing her like this, so broken, was almost more than I could handle. I pulled her close, holding her tightly, as if by holding her I could take away some of her pain, trying to show her that she wasn’t alone, that I was there with her, no matter what.

I I grabbed her shoulders and looked at her, trying to make sense of what had just happened. Her face was streaked with dried tears, and her hair was all over the place, tangled and messy. But despite everything, she was still the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. Even in that moment of chaos and fear, I couldn’t help but notice how stunning she was. Urgh, what are you doing? This is not the time to think about that, I scolded myself, trying to snap out of it. I needed to focus on what was important—making sure she was okay.

I took a deep breath and asked her, "Shivangi, are you okay? Did you get hurt anywhere?" My voice was gentle at first, filled with concern. But then, the fear and confusion started to take over, and the questions came out faster, almost frantic. "Why did you leave like that? What’s going on? What were you trying to do? Are you out of your mind?" I didn’t mean to, but my voice grew louder with each question, a mix of anger, worry, and desperation spilling out.

Before I could say anything else, she suddenly shoved me away, her hands firm against my chest. "STAY AWAY!" she shouted, her voice sharp and filled with something I couldn’t quite understand—fear, anger, maybe even pain. The force of her words and the intensity in her eyes took me by surprise, and I stumbled back, caught off guard by her reaction.
