While eating I can't stop thinking about me laying on her chest. I hope that she didn't wake up before me because I can't help feeling bad about touching her like that without her consent. "What's on your mind?", Chloë asks suddenly. "N-nothing", I lie. The look on her face clearly says that she doesn't believe me, yet she doesn't bother asking more. "Did you really sleep well?", I ask her. "Yeah your bed is really comfortable, plus I was so tired I almost immediately fell asleep", she responds. "So you didn't wake up or anything in between?", I carefully ask. "No... why would I have been awake?", she asks giving me a confused look. "Oh well I don't know, maybe I was like snoring or something like that", I try. She again raises an eyebrow as she gives me a skeptical look. "Are you sure that you're okay? You're acting kind of weird since yesterday", she asks concerned. "Yeah sorry I don't know why I'm acting this way", I say. She smiles and says it's fine as she finishes her plate.

We go upstairs after eating and I let her use the bathroom first just like she let me use hers first when I slept at her place. She comes back after a while, wearing the dress from last night and her hair is put in a messy bun. She looks so beautiful she drives me crazy in every single way possible. How did I fall for her so hard on such a short amount of time? "Will you wait before leaving? I'm going to wash up and I'll see you out after that", I ask her. She nods and sits down on my bed so I quickly go to use the bathroom. I come back after some times and she's walking around my room, taking in every detail of it. When she notices that I'm back she smiles and walks towards me. "I'll be on my way then", she says once she stand next to me. I nod and walk with her towards her car. We say goodbye and I look as she drives off.

While I'm standing outside my little sister arrives home and looks at me. "Sorry about this morning", she says. "It's fine she says she didn't wake up", I respond. We walk inside while talking. "I'll pay you back for the car", she announces. "Ah damn my car, I almost forgot about it", I say. "Let me know how much the costs are and I'll pay", she says. "Don't worry about it sis", I respond. "No Jake, it's my fault, so I'm going to pay for it. I'm not taking no for an answer", she remarks before walking away from me.

Chloë 🌸

"Thanks for the ride last night": Me

Chloë: "No problem! I should be the one thanking you for letting me sleep at your place and the use of the clothes"

"It was the least I could do": Me

I remember when she came back after changing into my clothes last night. My clothes looked baggy on her, making her look rather adorable. She actually looked so tired that I'm happy that I asked her to stay the night, and I sincerly pray that I didn't make her feel uncomfortable. I take the clothes I gave her and was about to put them in the dirty laundry as I smell something. The shirt has a vague smell of the parfume she had put on to go out. I look at the bed and yet again I think about me touching her, but this time, I think about us in the club. Both of us didn't really talk much about last night, which makes me both happy and uneasy at the same time.

It's almost three weeks later when we see each other again. She's sitting in a coffee shop working on her laptop when I notice her. I get my order and go sit in front of her. She looks up from her screen, looks me in the eyes and smiles. "Oh hey how have you been", she asks as she closes her laptop. "You don't need to stop for me. I've been fine, how about you", I reply. "Oh no I was just finishing some things don't worry. I've also been just fine, a little stressed but mostly fine", she responds. "Stressed about...?", I ask. "The landlord wants to raise the rent, but I won't be able to pay much more than what I'm already paying", she admits. "So why don't you look for a new place?", I ask her. "I can't, I don't earn enough at my job, and I also can't change jobs because this one lets me balance work and school and not a lot of places do that", she sighs. I give her an understanding nod and think about a possible solution for her.
