Jake convinced me to go with him to an arcade not too far from the house. We come back before dinner and I'm dragging this bear that is almost as big as me through the door. "Ah who's the new roommate?", Matthew jokes. "His name is yet to be decided", I reply. "You should call him 'Mister Snuggles'", Matthew says. "Oh yes that's a great name!", I exclaim. The boys had already started on dinner so I put Mister Snuggles on our bed and go back downstairs. We sit down to eat but Alice doesn't join us. There is a tension hanging in the air, but none of us talk about it. They ask Jake and me about our day and we describe the things we did and saw. After dinner we do the dishes and sit around the pool to relax before going to bed. We all go to bed around the same time but when I lay in bed I can't fall asleep. I go back downstairs after trying to fall asleep for over an hour and go outside. I put my feet in the water and sip from a glass of water that I brought outside with me. I stare into the darkness and enjoy the warmth that still lingers in the air from the day.

"Can't sleep?", I hear Dakota's voice suddenly. I look at him and shake my head. "No, you?", I ask. "Same, I'm sleeping in Matthew's room now but that dude snores a tad bit too loud", he replies. I chuckle and he comes sit down next to me, also putting his feet in the water. "Did you hear anything else from Alice?", I ask him after some time. "No, she hasn't come out of the room much today. When she did, she just acted like we weren't there", he responds. I hear my phone ring and notice that it is her dad. I show it to Dakota and he gives me a confused look. "Hello sir, is everything alright?", I ask when I pick up and put it on speaker. "Well not really", he starts. "First of all sorry for calling so late, I hope I didn't wake you up but I want to talk about something. My baby called me today and told me some things about you and Dakota, so I wanted to ask for your version of the story."

Dakota and I each share our sides of the story and her dad falls silent. "I'm going to come pick her up. We can't have her ruin your well deserved vacation", he says with a dissapointed voice. "I have booked a flight that leaves in 2 hours so I'll be there soon, don't tell her anything please", he adds. "Are you sure sir, it's quite late already and I'm sure your busy", Dakota says. "She doesn't deserve to be in Spain just to treat you guys as her personal maids. I'm taking her home and she'll regret what she did, I'll make sure of it. Well I'm going to cut the call so that I'll be on time for the plane, if you would just send me the address of the place you're staying at that would be wonderful", he replies. "Thank you sir, we will meet you soon", I say before he hangs up the phone. I send him the address and look at Dakota. "That took a turn", he says. "Look on the bright side, you'll have a room all for yourself. You won't need to sleep next to a snoring Matthew", I try to cheer him up.

We talk for a while about a lot of different things before we get too tired. We dry our feet and go upstairs to try and get some sleep. "There you are", Jake mumbles when I get back in the bed. He comes closer to me and put both his arm and leg over me. I fall asleep not long after that and get woken up by the sound of the doorbel. I jump up from the bed and race downstairs to open the door. "Good morning sir", I say as Alice's father enters the house. "Good morning Chloë. I'm sorry about last nights late call", he replies. "It's fine sir, I wasn't able to sleep anyway and Dakota couldn't either. We were just talking when you called", I answer. Dakota is standing next to me and I hear Matthew and Jake coming down the stairs. "Where can I find her?", her father asks us. "I'll show you sir", Dakota replies. "Fill the boys in", he whispers to me. "Who's that?", Matthew asks me. "That is Alice her father. I couldn't sleep last night and Dakota couldn't either so we were talking by the pool when he called me. He asked us about what happened with Alice so we told him our side of the story and then he said that he's coming to pick her up", I explain. The boys look stunned, but not for long because we hear screaming from upstairs.
