"Where the hell is she?", I wonder out loud. "She never takes over an hour to get ready", I add. "Maybe she fell in the bathroom?", Matthew suggests. I go look upstairs in our room and our bathroom, but she's nowhere to be found. I'm starting to panic and start looking in the other rooms. She isn't there. I run back downstairs after putting on some clothes and start looking everywhere downstairs as well. Still nowhere, not even outside at the pool either. I take my phone and try calling her, but she ignores it. I keep trying but she never picks up. I start getting mad at Alice because it's all her fault. "Where is she?", I yell at her when I enter the kitchen again. "How would I know, I hope the stupid bitch gets kidnapped", she snarls back. Even after Dakota explained multipule times that she herself told him in her sleep, she's convinced that Chloë told him.
"Any luck?", Matthew asks after I again try calling her. I shake my head in frustration. I try once more and she finally picks up. "I'm fine and safe. Stop calling me", is what she says when she picks up. "Well where the hell are you?", I ask. "Doesn't matter, I'm safe and I'll be back later", she responds. "Chloë listen to me I need to know where you are, if you start acting like you did some time ago you'll be in trouble", I state. She sighs and ends the call. "She's at a gym", Matthew suddenly says. "I tracked her live location, she should be in a gym not so far from here", he adds. Right I forgot that we all shared our live locations in our roommates group chat. "I'll go get her", I say while grabbing my car keys. The guys nod at me and I quickly leave to go get her.
I arrive there and go inside to look for her. She seems to be boxing, and honestly it's kind of scaring me. I walk up to her and go stand next to her. "I told you I'm fine", she says as she keeps hitting the punching bag. "Your actions tell me something different", I remark. Is going to the gym her coping mechanism? She went after the calls from her mother, after that woman was at our door and now after this morning, she's here again. She finally stops and looks me in the eyes. "Don't do this Jake", she almost begs. "Angel, I know that this is a difficult time for you but please come back", I beg her. She looks me in the eyes and sighs in defeat. She gathers all her stuff and follows me outside to the car. "Let me take you out this afternoon okay?", I ask her when I drive us back to the house. "To where? We don't know where we are", she responds. "I'll find a place, don't worry", I reply. "Maybe you shouldn't. I'm already seen as a golddigger, you taking me out will only make it worse", she sighs.
"Angel, we all know that you're not a golddigger. You always pay back or do something in return and we all know that. Don't let her words eat you", I try to comfort her. She doesn't say anything and just stares out of the window. "I'm going to take a shower", she announces when we get to the house. I watch her go inside before following her. "So did you find her?", Dakota asks when he sees me alone. "Yeah she said that she going to take a shower", I answer him while sitting down. "How is Alice?", I ask him. "I broke up with her so she's having a moment upstairs", he replies with a tired look on his face. "What about the kid?", Matthew asks. "I uh I don't know", he responds. I see him trying to fight tears but he can't stop them. He cries his hart out and we try to console him. He calms down just when Chloë comes down the stairs. "I'm sorry Chloë, I had no idea you knew", Dakota sobs when he sees her. "It's fine Dakota, I'm also sorry about the whole thing", she says. "You didn't do anything yet you got blamed because of me", he argues. "It's nothing new", she mumbles, "I'm used to that."
