Chloë isn't home yet but Matthew is when I arrive home. "God today was such a horrible day", Matthew sighs when he sees me. "I've had better days too", I reply. "I hated today", Dakota suddenly barges in the house. "Why what happened?", I ask him. "Well apperently nobody can read anymore and they messed literally everything up and then tried to blame me for it", he groans when he sits down on the couch. "Maybe we should start getting dinner ready before Chloë is home", Matthew suggests. "She isn't home yet?", Dakota asks. "No not yet, I hope she okay", Matthew says. My phone starts buzzing and when I look at the phone screen, it's Chloë. "Sorry I'm so late but I just left school and I'll try to be home as fast as I can", she says when I pick up. "That's fine, we'll get dinner ready", I reply. "God yes, some good food", she replies. "I have to go but I'll be there soon", she says before hanging up. "What does that mean?", Dakota asks confused. "No idea, but I gues we'll have to try and make it really good for her", I say.

"I'm home!", Chloë yells when she enters the house. "Aha there's the student", Matthew jokes. "Don't remind me, this was the worst first day of school ever", she groans. "Why what happened?", I ask. At the same time, we put the food on the table and sit down. "Well it started with the fact that Valerie and Trent were the first people I say today, which was just the start of everything. I just mind my business and walk past them, just to get yelled at by Valerie that I'm a whore and I must love ruining people but when she noticed that I was ignoring her, she gave up. Then I saw Alice and she started yelling at me again and Valerie was backing her up, telling her to hurt me as much as possible. Because they were being so loud a professor had to come to shut them up and because of the commotion they caused, I also had to go to the principal to explain the situation. Then during the whole day they tried to annoy me and then the worst thing was at lunch! You know what happened? They changed their cooks and now the food there tastes horrible!", she rambles. "You really just said, out of everything that happened that the food was the worst thing today?", Matthew snorts. "Well yeah of course, I can filter Alice and Valerie out, I can't filter the bad food away now can I?", she asks in disbelief.

"How did Alice look?", Dakota asks. "She looked fine I guess, mostly pregnant but otherwise nothing special", she replies. "I hope the baby's doing well", he sighs. "Enough about my day, tell me about your days", Chloë changes the subject. "Well I got asked to participate in a contest today", I share with them. "Oh really? That sound like fun!", Matthew says. "Well there isn't much fun to it. I have to keep a lot of things in mind while designing and only the design that gets chosen will be used and the person will get a promotion", I say. "I'm sure you'll come with something good, you alsways do. Or at least you used to always come up with something good", Dakota says. "We'll see I guess", I reply. We talk about Dakota's and Matthew their day during the rest of the dinner. After dinner, the four of us hang out together in our living room for the rest of the evening.

"Jake, there you are, the boss wants to see you", Harper says when she sees me. "Why does he want to see me?", I ask. "No idea but he wants you in his office. I wouldn't wait too long", she replies. "I'll go now then, thanks for telling me", I thank her. I go to my bosses office and knock on the door, only going inside when I hear him say "enter". "Ah Jake good that you're here, I was looking for you", he says when he notices me. "Sit down kid", he points at a chair in front of him. "Is everything alright sir?", I ask. "Yes yes don't worry. I called you in to talk about your design", he reveals. "Is something wrong with it?" "No not at all, I just wanted to tell you that the client picked your design out of all of them. It's the most leaning towards his style and he likes the way you worked every detail out and everything they asked is in it", he explains. "So my design won?", I ask in disbelief. "It sure did kid. You're really good, you shouldn't underestimate yourself. Oh and the client is here to talk to you." He introduces me to the client and we talk for a while. "You know, we should go grab dinner Friday if you're free? By the way, do you have a girlfriend because I have a daughter who I'd like to introduce to you", the client asks. "Dinner does sound good, but I do have a girlfriend already", I lie. "Bring her too", he replies.
