Scared to love

Jake's POV

We go into the town after everybody finished eating their breakfast and got ready. We come across a mall and decide to go there to see what kind of stores they have. "That store seems to be selling some swimwear", Matthew notices. We look at the displays in front of the store and notice that they are having sales right now. "Let's go take a look at their stuff", Dakota encourages us. We enter the store and the girls go to the women section while we boys look around in the men section. "We're going to try these on, so if you're looking for us, we're in the fitting rooms", Alice says as she comes up to us a while later. We nod and she leaves us alone while pulling Chloë with her. We also go to the fitting rooms a few minutes later and we hear the girls talk. "Girl that is not your size at all. Do you even know your size?", Alice asks. "No I don't", Chloë responds. "How do you not know your cup size?", Alice asks in disbelief. "Because the last bra I bought was about four years ago before I started taking the pill", Chloë replies.

In the meantime I have tried on the shorts and since they fit pretty well, I decide to buy them. I wait for the others and because of that I see Alice come out of one of the stalls with a sigh. "Tell your roommate she needs to take better care of herself", she says while walking by to go back in the store. Some time later she comes back with her hands full of stuff and she goes back in the stall. "Try these", she commands. "Can you stop looking at me, you're stressing me out", Chloë says. "See this is your size, you need to buy new bras as soon as possible because this just cannot be healthy", Alice sighs before coming out of the stall again. The boys joined me some time ago so we're waiting together for the girls to come out. When Chloë comes out she looks fustrated and kind of ashamed when she notices us. "You okay?", I ask her. "Yeah it's fine", she responds. "No this is not fine girl", Alice interrupts. "Yeah Alice I know, I'll take care of it", Chloë rolls her eyes. Alice sighs again before following Chloë to go pay for their stuff. 

When Chloë puts her stuff on the counter, I put mine on top of it. She gives me a warning look but I ignore it. After us both Matthew and Dakota pay for their stuff, and Dakota also pays for the things Alice picked out. "I could've paid for that myself you know", Chloë says, looking mad. "I know, but I didn't let you", I tease. "Clearly", she states, rolling her eyes again. "Sorry boys, but I'm stealing her, we need to go to that store", Alice announces while once again pulling Chloë with her to the store in front of the one we just came out of. We follow them and we enter a lingerie store. I've never been in one and I don't know what I expected, but it wasn't this. The shop is filled with all different types of bras, in different colors and even shapes. The girls are busy walking around and looking at the options. "You want a push-up bra?", Alice asks. "I don't think I need one", Chloë responds, "although that one is pretty." They walk around the store for about 10 minutes before entering the fitting rooms. We follow them and notice a couch, so the three of us sit down and wait for the girls.

They come out a while later and Alice looks proud. "That should do it. You better start wearing one of these tomorrow", Alice warns Chloë. "Yeah yeah, I will", she replies. As Chloë goes to pay, the others leave the store while I stay with her. "Don't you dare pay", she says when she notices that I stayed with her. "Too late angel", I smirk. "Dammit", she says while taking the bag. "We've talked about this", I tell her while we join the others. "Yeah I know, but every once in a while you have to let me pay for something", she argues. I pretend to think about it before saying no. "Always the same with you rich guys", she mumbles under her breath. "What did you say?", Matthew asks. "Nothing", she tries to save herself but one look at Matthew and I know that he heard her. We go grab lunch at a small restaurant where Chloë orders and talks with the waiter in Spanish. "He looks like he wants you", Alice states when the guy walks away. "He doesn't", Chloë argues, "I'm not interested anyway."
