Dakota: "Guys I found a place to stay for a week and it's going to be about 300 dollars per person for 6 nights, so we if we arrive the Sunday, we have to leave the Saturday to go back home. What do you think?"

Alice: "That seems great!"

Matthew: "Works for me"

Jake: "Should be good for me too"

"I guess I can save up for it": Me

Dakota: "Great, I'll book it so that we have at least that. I'll send the details later"

I know that 300 doesn't seem like much for a week, but I'll need to pick up some extra shifts for it anyway. The plan was to ask my boss for extra shift the next time I go to work, but something changes. "Chloë can you come here?", my boss asks when she sees me. I enter her office and close the door once I'm inside. "I know you've been working hard, I can see it in the numbers on the nights you work, so I want to thank you for it. You've been paid badly so to make up for it I'm going to give you a raise and I'll pay you a sum of money as a sorry for the lack of support you got from me lately", she says. "Wait really? My god, this means so much to me, thank you so much!", I say. "Well I'm glad you work as hard as you do, you're a very good employee, so keep up the good work!", she replies. I thank her another time and leave her office.

My shift went by pretty quickly so I go home to tell the boys about the news. "Guys, guys listen I have to tell you something!", I exclaim as I enter the apartment. They give me a confused look but stop with what they were doing to listen to me. "I got a raise, I even get a bonus this month! Isn't this great? I finally got what I deserve!", I yell. "Really? That's wonderful!", Jake says as he comes to hug me. "Right? Now I won't need to worry about the money for traveling as much", I say when Matthew also comes to hug me. "You know that we can always jump in if you need the money", Jake says. "Yeah I know, but I want to be able to provide for myself and not constantly rely on others to pay stuff for me", I respond. "You know what that also means? I will be able to pay you back faster", I say to Jake. "Just pay the same amount and save a little more", he replies. "Are you sure? I can ju-" I try before he interrupts me. "It's fine angel, I'm not worried about the money", he says. "Ugh right I forgot that you guys are rich", I respond. They look at me and start laughing.

"What's that supposed to mean?", Matthew asks me after they stopped laughing. "You guys just have a different mindset. You're rich, so you aren't worried if you don't get the money right away. Meanwile if somebody grew up poor or has less money, if they don't get the money right away, they could get into serious problems", I explain. "Oh huh, I didn't think about that", Matthew replies. "Of course you didn't", I says while rolling with my eyes playfully. I sit down on the couch while smiling and Jake follows me. "This doesn't mean we will spoil you less", he states as he lays down on the couch and puts his head on my lap. I stroke his hair, which he seems to like. "We'll see about that", I respond. "Oh no Jake's right, it's not because you earn a bit more that we're going to stop spoiling you", Matthew chimes in. "Well I can't say what you have to do with your money", I sigh in defeat. Both guys smile at that and with that we enjoy the rest of our evening.

"We have to leave soon guys, do you have everything?", I ask them. "Yeah I think so", Matthew says. "I can't believe we're going to be late for your graduation", I reply. "Okay I'm ready, let's leave", Jake says. We get in my car and I drive us to the right place where we meet Alice and Dakota. The boys go to their places as Alice and I look for our spots in the audience. The ceremony is arranged beautifully and with a lot of thought. After the students got their diploma's and all the speeches are done, there is a reception. "We finally graduated!", Matthew yells when we're all together again. "You guys looked so good, congratulations", Alice says. "Well you're finally all officially architects", I say while hugging the boys one by one, Jake as last. "Yes after three dificult years we're done with school and can start working", Jake says. "After we went to Spain", Dakota adds.
