Sally was sitting in the living room of the Tack House waiting for her ride. Allie was coming by and taking her out for a much needed girl's day. Or that's what Sally thought was happening anyway. She was actually being taken to her baby shower, organized by Allie and Abby with a little help from Adam. With all the drama that was going on, Sally deserved to have a day that was all about her.

"You excited for your girl's day?" Adam asked joining her in the living room.

Sally smiled, "Definitely. I need this. Though I'm sorry that I won't be able to help you with the nursery." Since Sally was going out and Connor was helping Nikki decorate the ranch for Halloween, Adam decided to use his day to paint his daughter's nursery and assemble some of the furniture.

"Don't apologize, you deserve this day. Besides, you shouldn't be around all those paint fumes while you're pregnant." Sally started to interrupt but he cut her off. "I know what Dr. Chandler said, but I'd rather be safe than sorry." Adam leaned down to kiss her, the sparks ignited like they did every time they kissed. The doorbell rang ending their make-out session.

"That must be Allie!" Sally practically squealed as Adam went to answer the door. Allie entered the Tack House wearing a very cute floral dress. She gave Adam a tired smile before going over to hug her friend.

"Hey girl. You look so cute. You're glowing." Allie greeted and complimented her.

Sally blushed, embarrassed over the praise but willing to take it. "I am glowing aren't I?" She chuckled. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Adam nod in agreement. "So where are we going? What's the big plan?"

Allie shared a brief look with Adam before answering, "It's a surprise, but I think you'll like it. In fact I know you'll like it."

"So let's get going then." Sally exclaimed, starting to head out.

"Hey, it's chilly out there, you should take a jacket." Adam said. Sally looked over at him amused before grabbing a jacket, his jacket. "Hey, that's mine."

"You said to take a jacket, you didn't say what jacket." Sally smirked, putting it on. Allie covered her mouth to hide her laughter. "Besides, it fits me better and you're not going anywhere today, so you don't need it. Do you?"

Adam sighed dramatically, "I guess not." He smirked then kissed her goodbye. "Have lots of fun, but not so much you need bail money."

Sally rolled her eyes, "We'll try, but it'll be hard." With one more kiss, they were off. Adam watched them leave before heading upstairs. He entered the room reserved for his daughter and smiled. In a little over three months she would be here and he couldn't wait. He had a vision of Sally and himself walking her into this room for the first time. Well, it was time to start preparing for that reality.

He opened up a paint can, swirling the light purple paint around. Sally had picked the color, not being a big fan of pink. He wasn't either, but if she had wanted it he would have painted the entire house pink. The doorbell rang right as he was about to get started. Curious, he went to answer it; he and Sally didn't get visitors often.

Adam opened the door, startled to see Chance standing there. "Chance? What are you doing here?" The only person he expected to see less was Victoria.

"Abby said you were painting and decorating the nursery today. I um thought you could use some help if you want it." Chance stammered, sounding as awkward as he felt.

Adam raised an eyebrow. "Ah, yeah some help would be nice actually. Come in." He moved out of the way to allow Chance to enter the house. "Let me guess, trying to earn some brownie points with my sister?" Chance refused to make eye contact, Adam took that as a yes. "Hey, no judgment from me. I'm more than happy to help."
