The house was quiet as I paced the hallway, my thoughts swirling with excitement and nerves. Last night had been a whirlwind—a confession of feelings, an exchange of promises. Sheena Catacutan, one of my sister Colet's best friends and someone I had always admired, had confessed her love for me, and I had reciprocated. It had felt like a dream, and yet, here I was, about to face the reality of our situation.

Sheena and I had decided that today would be the day to take the next step. I had known from the start that our relationship would be complicated, given Sheena's close friendship with my sister. Still, the thought of being with her made my heart race with joy and trepidation.

The doorbell rang, breaking me from my thoughts. I quickly composed myself and made my way to the front door. As I opened it, I saw Sheena standing there, looking both determined and slightly nervous. Her eyes met mine, and she gave me a reassuring smile.

"Hey, Eliana," she said softly, her voice filled with warmth. "Are you ready?"

I nodded, my heart fluttering in my chest. "Yeah, let's do this."

Sheena reached out and took my hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. We walked together to the living room, where Colet was lounging on the couch, engrossed in her phone. Her eyes flicked up as we entered, and she raised an eyebrow.

"What's up, you two?" Colet asked, her tone casual but curious.

Sheena cleared her throat, her grip on my hand tightening slightly. "Colet, can we talk to you for a moment?"

Colet looked at us with a mix of curiosity and concern. "Sure, what's going on?"

Sheena took a deep breath and glanced at me, giving me a reassuring smile before turning back to Colet. "Eliana and I have something we need to tell you. Last night, we both confessed our feelings for each other."

Colet's eyes widened in surprise, and she looked between us, her expression shifting to one of concern. "Wait, you're saying... you two are together?"

Sheena nodded, her eyes filled with determination. "Yes. And we wanted to ask for your permission, Colet. I know this might be unexpected, but I care about Eliana deeply, and I want to be with her. I didn't want to do this without your blessing."

Colet's gaze softened as she looked at me, then back at Sheena. "I appreciate that you're asking for my permission, Sheena. It means a lot to me."

I could see the wheels turning in Colet's mind, and I held my breath, hoping she would understand. After a moment, Colet let out a sigh and gave us a small, genuine smile. "You know, I never thought I'd be in this situation. But if Eliana's happy and you really care about her, then I'm willing to give this a chance."

Sheena's face lit up with relief and happiness. "Thank you, Colet. I promise I'll take good care of her."

Colet nodded and stood up, walking over to us. She pulled me into a quick hug, her embrace warm and supportive. "Just make sure you two are honest with each other and with me. I want what's best for my sister."

As Colet stepped back, Sheena reached out and took my hand once more. The warmth of her touch sent a shiver down my spine, and I couldn't help but smile at her.

"Thank you, Colet," I said, my voice filled with emotion. "It means a lot to us."

Colet smiled and gave us a wink. "Just make sure you both keep me updated on how things are going. I'm looking forward to seeing how this plays out."

As Colet left the room, Sheena turned to me, her eyes shining with happiness. "Are you okay?"

I nodded, my heart swelling with love for her. "Yes, I'm more than okay. I'm thrilled."

Sheena smiled and gently cupped my face in her hands. "I promise to make this work, Eliana. I want to be with you, and I'm willing to face any challenges that come our way."

We stood there, lost in each other's gaze, and for a moment, the rest of the world faded away. Our love was real and powerful, and despite the hurdles we might face, I knew that with Sheena by my side, we could overcome anything.

As Sheena leaned in to kiss me, I felt a sense of contentment and excitement for the future. Our journey had just begun, and I couldn't wait to see where it would take us. Together, we were unstoppable, and I was ready to embrace whatever came next.
