Aiah Arceta sighed with relief as she stepped out of the car and took in the tranquil beauty of the Alpas resort in La Union. The pressures of being a member of Bini—the rehearsals, the schedules, the constant scrutiny—had been weighing heavily on her. This solo trip was a much-needed escape, a chance to recharge and find some peace.

She adjusted her sunglasses and started to walk around the resort, her camera slung over her shoulder. The resort was breathtaking, with its lush greenery, pristine beaches, and the soothing sound of waves crashing against the shore. Aiah felt her shoulders relax as she wandered, snapping pictures and taking selfies to capture the moments of serenity.

As she walked along a path lined with palm trees, Aiah's attention was drawn to a figure sitting on a lounge chair near the beach. The girl had brown hair flowing down her shoulders and was wearing a white oversized button-up and denim shorts. She was reading a book, occasionally looking up to gaze at the sunset.

Aiah's heart skipped a beat. There was something mesmerizing about the girl. The way the golden light of the setting sun cast a halo around her, the peaceful expression on her face, and the way she seemed completely lost in her own world. Aiah felt a sudden urge to approach her, to know her story.

She hesitated for a moment, unsure if she should interrupt. But her curiosity and intrigue won over, and she slowly made her way towards the girl, her camera ready. She snapped a few candid shots from a distance, capturing the girl's serene beauty and the stunning backdrop of the sunset.

As Aiah got closer, the girl looked up from her book and noticed her. Aiah felt a flush of embarrassment but managed to smile. "Hi," she said, her voice gentle. "I hope I'm not disturbing you. I couldn't help but notice how beautiful the sunset looks from here."

The girl smiled back, closing her book and setting it aside. "Not at all. It's a gorgeous view, isn't it?"

Aiah nodded, her eyes meeting the girl's. "Mind if I sit with you?"

"Please, go ahead," the girl replied, gesturing to the empty chair beside her.

Aiah sat down, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. "I'm Aiah, by the way."

"Freya," the girl introduced herself. "Nice to meet you, Aiah."

"Nice to meet you too, Freya," Aiah said, her smile widening. "Are you here on vacation?"

Freya nodded. "Yeah, I needed a break from work and everything. Just wanted to relax and enjoy some quiet time. What about you?"

Aiah chuckled softly. "Same here. I'm a member of a girl group, and things have been pretty hectic lately. I needed some time away from all the chaos."

Freya's eyes lit up with recognition. "Wait, you're Aiah from Bini, right? I thought you looked familiar!"

Aiah laughed, a bit sheepishly. "Yeah, that's me. Trying to blend in and have a normal vacation."

Freya grinned. "Well, you're doing a great job so far. I wouldn't have guessed if you hadn't told me."

They both laughed, the initial awkwardness fading away. They sat in comfortable silence for a while, watching the sun dip below the horizon, painting the sky with hues of orange, pink, and purple.

"So, what are you reading?" Aiah asked, glancing at the book Freya had set aside.

Freya picked it up and showed it to her. "It's a collection of poems. I find them really calming."

Aiah nodded, intrigued. "I love poetry too. There's something about it that's so soothing."

Freya's eyes sparkled with interest. "Do you write poetry?"

"Sometimes," Aiah admitted. "It's a nice way to express my feelings, especially when things get overwhelming."

Freya smiled warmly. "I'd love to hear some of your poems someday."

Aiah felt a flutter in her chest. "Maybe I'll share one with you before this trip ends."

They continued to talk, sharing stories about their lives, their dreams, and their struggles. Aiah found herself opening up to Freya in a way she hadn't with anyone else in a long time. There was something about Freya's presence that made her feel at ease, understood, and appreciated.

As the evening turned into night, the sky now adorned with a blanket of stars, Aiah realized how much time had passed. She didn't want the moment to end, but she also knew they needed to get some rest.

"I've really enjoyed this, Freya," Aiah said, her voice sincere. "Thank you for letting me join you."

Freya smiled, her eyes reflecting the starlight. "Me too, Aiah. I'm glad you came over. Maybe we can hang out again tomorrow?"

"I'd love that," Aiah replied, feeling a rush of happiness. "How about breakfast by the beach?"

"It's a date," Freya agreed, her smile widening.

They stood up, and Aiah felt a sudden impulse to capture this moment. "Do you mind if we take a selfie together?" she asked, holding up her camera.

Freya laughed. "Not at all. Let's do it."

They leaned in close, and Aiah snapped a picture, capturing their smiling faces with the starry sky as their backdrop. It was a perfect memory of a perfect evening.

As they said their goodbyes and headed to their respective rooms, Aiah couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement for the days to come. She had come to Alpas resort seeking peace and a break from her hectic life, but she had found something much more precious—an unexpected connection with someone who felt like a kindred spirit.

The next morning, Aiah woke up with a smile on her face, eager to see Freya again. She quickly got ready and headed to the beach, her heart pounding with anticipation. When she arrived, she saw Freya already there, sitting at a table with a spread of delicious breakfast items.

"Good morning, Aiah," Freya greeted her with a warm smile.

"Good morning, Freya," Aiah replied, her heart swelling with happiness. "This looks amazing."

They sat down and enjoyed a leisurely breakfast, the conversation flowing effortlessly. Aiah felt a growing sense of connection with Freya, a feeling that this was just the beginning of something special.

As they walked along the beach after breakfast, their hands occasionally brushing against each other, Aiah felt a surge of courage. She turned to Freya, her heart pounding. "Freya, I'm really glad I met you. This trip has been incredible because of you."

Freya stopped walking and looked at Aiah, her eyes soft and full of emotion. "I feel the same way, Aiah. Meeting you has made this trip unforgettable."

Aiah took a deep breath, her heart racing. "Freya, would you like to go out with me? I mean, not just as friends, but as something more?"

Freya's eyes widened with surprise and then filled with joy. She reached out and took Aiah's hand, intertwining their fingers. "I'd love that, Aiah."

Aiah's heart soared with happiness. She leaned in and kissed Freya, their lips meeting in a sweet and tender kiss. It was a kiss filled with promise, a new beginning under the starry sky.

As they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, Aiah knew that this solo trip had brought her something she hadn't expected—love. And she was ready to embrace it with all her heart, knowing that with Freya by her side, anything was possible.
