Mikha Lim sighed with relief as she finally stepped through the front door of her apartment. It had been a long and tiring day at work, and all she wanted was to unwind and spend some quality time with her girlfriend, Gwen Apuli. She kicked off her shoes, dropped her bag by the door, and made her way towards the living room, already feeling a bit lighter just knowing she was home.

As she walked down the hallway, she heard the faint clicking of keys coming from her gaming room. Curious, she peeked inside and smiled at the sight that greeted her. Gwen was sitting comfortably in Mikha's gaming chair, focused on the screen as she worked on something. Mikha couldn't help but feel a rush of affection for her girlfriend, who looked so adorable and focused.

Without making a sound, Mikha quietly walked up behind Gwen, her steps soft on the carpeted floor. She noticed how Gwen's brow furrowed in concentration, her fingers flying over the keyboard. Mikha decided she wanted to surprise her, to distract her from whatever it was she was so deeply engrossed in.

Mikha slipped her arms around Gwen's shoulders from behind, leaning in to plant a soft kiss on her girlfriend's cheek. Gwen jumped slightly, startled, but then relaxed when she realized who it was.

"Mikha, you're home," Gwen said with a smile, her eyes still glued to the screen.

"Yep, and I'm ready for some quality time," Mikha replied, her voice playful as she nuzzled Gwen's neck.

Gwen chuckled, her eyes flickering away from the screen to glance at Mikha. "Just give me a few more minutes, babe. I'm almost done with this."

Mikha pouted, not satisfied with waiting. She wanted Gwen's attention now. An idea sparked in her mind, and she grinned mischievously. She moved around the chair and without a word, crawled into Gwen's lap, straddling her thighs.

Gwen's eyes widened in surprise, and she looked up at Mikha, her work momentarily forgotten. "Mikha, what are you doing?"

Mikha didn't respond. Instead, she leaned down and pressed her lips to Gwen's, kissing her softly. Gwen's surprise melted into pleasure, and she responded to the kiss, her hands instinctively moving to rest on Mikha's hips.

The kiss was slow and tender, exactly what Gwen needed after a long day of work. Mikha's lips moved against hers with a deliberate gentleness, coaxing her to forget about everything else and just focus on the moment. Gwen's hands tightened on Mikha's hips, pulling her closer as she deepened the kiss.

Mikha's heart raced with excitement. She loved how Gwen responded to her touch, how they fit together so perfectly. She could feel the tension in Gwen's body slowly melting away, replaced by a warmth that spread through both of them.

As they kissed, Mikha's hands moved to cup Gwen's face, her fingers gently caressing her girlfriend's cheeks. She felt Gwen's arms wrap around her waist, holding her close. The kiss grew more passionate, their breaths mingling as they lost themselves in each other.

After a few moments, Mikha pulled back slightly, her forehead resting against Gwen's. They were both breathing heavily, their eyes locked in an intimate gaze.

"Did I distract you enough?" Mikha asked, a teasing smile playing on her lips.

Gwen chuckled, her hands still resting on Mikha's waist. "More than enough. But I'm not complaining."

Mikha smiled, feeling a sense of satisfaction. She loved being able to bring a smile to Gwen's face, to make her forget about everything else, even if just for a little while. She leaned in for another kiss, this one softer and more affectionate.

"I missed you," Mikha whispered against Gwen's lips.

"I missed you too," Gwen replied, her voice equally soft. "You always know how to make me feel better."

Mikha beamed at the compliment, her heart swelling with love. "That's my job as your girlfriend."

They stayed like that for a while, wrapped up in each other's arms, enjoying the closeness and the warmth of their embrace. Mikha could feel the stress of the day melting away, replaced by a sense of contentment.

After a while, Gwen pulled back slightly, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "You know, you're really good at this distraction thing. Maybe you should do it more often."

Mikha laughed, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Oh, I plan to. You won't get any work done with me around."

Gwen shook her head, a fond smile on her lips. "And I wouldn't have it any other way."

They shared another kiss, this one filled with love and promise. As they pulled back, Mikha shifted slightly in Gwen's lap, getting more comfortable.

"So, what were you working on?" Mikha asked, glancing at the computer screen.

Gwen sighed, her expression turning serious for a moment. "Just some work stuff. I was trying to finish up a project, but I think it can wait until tomorrow."

Mikha nodded, understanding. "Well, how about we do something fun instead? Maybe watch a movie or play a game?"

Gwen's eyes lit up at the suggestion. "That sounds perfect."

They spent the rest of the evening cuddled up on the couch, watching their favorite movie and enjoying each other's company. Mikha loved these moments, the simple joy of being with Gwen, of sharing their lives and their love.

As the night wore on and they eventually made their way to bed, Mikha couldn't help but feel grateful for everything they had. She had found something special with Gwen, a love that was strong and true. And she knew that no matter what challenges came their way, they would face them together, side by side.

As they drifted off to sleep, wrapped in each other's arms, Mikha knew that she had found her home in Gwen. And that was all she ever needed.
