The sun was warm, casting a golden glow over the park as a soft breeze swept through the trees, rustling the leaves gently. Mikha and Colet sat on a plaid blanket spread across the grass, surrounded by a peaceful atmosphere. A basket of snacks sat between them, and Mikha had her beloved camera by her side, always ready to capture the perfect moment. Colet, ever the doting fiancée, was savoring a chocolate-covered strawberry, smiling as she glanced at Mikha.
Mikha was completely lost in her thoughts, her camera momentarily forgotten in her lap as her eyes drifted over to a group of children playing nearby. Their laughter filled the air, and a soft smile tugged at Mikha's lips as she watched them run and chase each other across the grassy field.
Colet's gaze followed Mikha's, noticing the way her fiancée's eyes softened at the sight of the kids. Without a word, Colet put down the strawberry she had been about to feed Mikha and scooted closer, wrapping her arms around the younger girl's waist from behind. Mikha leaned into Colet's warmth, resting her back against her fiancée's chest, feeling the steady rise and fall of Colet's breathing.
"Thinking about kids, hmm?" Colet asked softly, her chin resting gently on Mikha's shoulder as she placed a tender kiss on her cheek.
Mikha nodded slowly, her eyes still on the children playing in the distance. "They remind me of Ep Ep," she said, her voice quiet and wistful. Ep Ep was Colet's 5-year-old nephew, a sweet, lively child who always made Mikha smile. Whenever they babysat him, Mikha couldn't help but imagine what it would be like to have children of their own.
Colet's heart swelled at the thought, her arms tightening around Mikha's waist as she pulled her closer. The peacefulness of the moment wrapped around them like a warm embrace, and Colet smiled, pressing another soft kiss to Mikha's temple. "You'd be an amazing mom," Colet whispered, her voice filled with sincerity.
Mikha blushed, her heart fluttering at Colet's words. She tilted her head up to meet Colet's gaze, her eyes shining with affection. "You'd be a great mom too," she said, her voice barely above a whisper, but filled with conviction.
They sat like that for a moment, wrapped in each other's arms, the world around them fading into the background as they talked softly about their future. The thought of having kids—raising a family together—had always been a topic of conversation between them, but it felt different now. More real. More possible.
As they sat in the tranquil aura of the park, Mikha absentmindedly played with the hem of Colet's sleeve, her fingers brushing over the soft fabric. Her mind wandered, thinking about what their future children might be like, and the thought brought a smile to her face.
"Do you ever wonder what our kids would be like?" Mikha asked softly, her voice filled with curiosity and hope.
Colet looked down at Mikha, her heart swelling with love as she thought about their future together. She smiled, her eyes beaming as she imagined the possibilities. "All the time," she admitted, her voice warm and affectionate. "I think about it whenever I see Ep Ep running around. I wonder if they'd have your smile or your eyes. I wonder if they'd love photography and volleyball as much as you do, or if they'd have my love for singing and music."
Mikha's heart fluttered at Colet's words, her chest swelling with emotion. The way Colet spoke about their future children with such care and tenderness made her fall in love with her all over again. She could picture it so clearly—the two of them raising a family, loving and supporting their kids, and building a life full of happiness and love.
"I hope they have your laugh," Mikha said with a soft smile, her fingers tracing circles on Colet's arm. "And your kindness. I want them to be just like you."
Colet's smile grew wider, her heart bursting with love for the woman in her arms. She leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to Mikha's lips, lingering for a moment as she savored the feeling of being so close to her. "I want them to have your strength," Colet whispered against Mikha's lips. "And your creativity. They'd be so lucky to have you as their mom."
Mikha's eyes shimmered with emotion, and she reached up to cup Colet's cheek, pulling her into another kiss. It was slow and tender, filled with all the love and promises they had for each other. When they pulled away, their foreheads rested together, their breaths mingling in the small space between them.
"You make me so happy," Mikha whispered, her voice trembling slightly with the intensity of her emotions.
Colet smiled, her thumb gently stroking Mikha's cheek. "You make me happy too," she said, her voice soft but full of love.
For a while, they simply sat there, holding each other, the world outside their little bubble of love fading away. The sounds of the park—children laughing, birds chirping, leaves rustling—became a distant hum as they lost themselves in each other's presence.
Eventually, Colet broke the comfortable silence, her voice soft but filled with excitement. "Do you think... do you think we'll have a girl or a boy first?" she asked, her eyes twinkling with curiosity.
Mikha chuckled, leaning her head back against Colet's shoulder as she considered the question. "I don't know," she said thoughtfully. "I'd be happy with either. As long as they're healthy and happy, that's all that matters."
Colet nodded in agreement, her heart swelling with pride at the thought of the family they would one day build together. "They'll be lucky to have you as their mom," she said again, her voice soft but filled with conviction.
Mikha smiled, feeling her heart melt at Colet's words. "And they'll be lucky to have you too," she replied, her voice filled with love.
The sun began to dip lower in the sky, casting a warm golden glow over the park. Mikha and Colet remained wrapped in each other's arms, the promise of a bright and beautiful future ahead of them.
As the evening settled in, they packed up their picnic, still talking softly about their future—about their hopes and dreams, and the life they would build together. And as they walked hand-in-hand out of the park, Mikha couldn't help but glance over at Colet, her heart swelling with love and gratitude.
She was so lucky to have found someone like Colet—someone who loved her unconditionally, who supported her dreams, and who wanted to build a future with her. And as they walked into the sunset, Mikha knew that no matter what the future held, they would face it together, hand in hand, with all the love and strength in the world.
The future was theirs, and Mikha couldn't wait to see what it held.
