It was the middle of the night when Stacey stirred awake. The room was silent except for the faint sound of the city outside their luxurious apartment. The moonlight slipped through the curtains, casting soft shadows across the room. Stacey blinked, slowly becoming aware of the arm draped securely around her waist. The warmth from her wife's body was comforting, but Stacey needed something cold to drink.
Carefully, she shifted, gently moving the arm that had her pinned in place. Aiah stirred slightly but didn't wake, allowing Stacey the freedom to slip out of bed. Stacey stood and picked up a pair of shorts and panties from the floor, slipping them on before grabbing a random shirt and her robe. She glanced back at Aiah, who was still fast asleep, her black hair tousled across the pillow.
Stacey tiptoed out of the room, quietly making her way downstairs to the kitchen. She opened the fridge, the cool air hitting her skin as she reached for a bottle of water. She poured herself a glass and stood by the counter, taking small sips of the cold liquid. The stillness of the night was soothing, giving her a moment of peace to gather her thoughts.
She stood there for a few minutes, lost in the quiet, when she suddenly felt familiar firm arms wrap around her waist from behind. Stacey smiled instantly, leaning back into the warmth of the embrace as soft kisses were placed on her neck and shoulder.
"Baby..." Stacey called, her voice soft and affectionate as she tilted her head to the side, giving her wife more access. She felt Aiah's lips trail lazily along her skin, the feeling both comforting and teasing.
"The bed got cold without you," Aiah murmured in a husky voice, her lips brushing against Stacey's ear. Aiah's breath was warm, and Stacey shivered, though it had nothing to do with the temperature. Aiah was wearing a simple black shirt and shorts, her casual appearance a contrast to the heat of her touch.
Stacey felt Aiah's hands glide down her waist, slowly caressing her lower stomach, teasing her as her fingers brushed lower. Stacey let out a soft giggle, her body responding despite her words.
"Baby... I'm still sore..." Stacey whispered, her cheeks flushing as she recalled the intense passion they had shared earlier that night. They had both been so busy lately—Aiah with her modeling contracts and Stacey with her CEO responsibilities—that they barely had time for each other. When they did, though, the moments were electric.
Aiah hummed in understanding, her lips still pressing light kisses against Stacey's shoulder as her hands moved away from their teasing. She wrapped her arms around Stacey's waist more securely, pulling her wife closer against her chest.
Without a word, Aiah suddenly lifted Stacey off the ground, carrying her effortlessly to the kitchen counter. Stacey let out a soft gasp, but she didn't protest, only smiling as she wrapped her arms around Aiah's neck for balance.
"You always know how to make an entrance," Stacey teased, her eyes twinkling as she gazed into Aiah's dark, captivating eyes. There was something about the way Aiah looked at her, even in the simplest moments, that made Stacey feel like the only woman in the world.
Aiah chuckled, a deep and rich sound that sent shivers down Stacey's spine. "Can't help it, babe. You make it impossible to stay away," she replied, her voice filled with affection and desire. Aiah's hand gently cupped Stacey's cheek, brushing a stray strand of hair behind her ear. "Besides, you looked too good standing here all alone."
Stacey blushed slightly, but her heart swelled at Aiah's words. She handed Aiah the glass of water she had been holding, and Aiah took a slow sip, her eyes never leaving Stacey's as if savoring both the drink and the moment.
For a few heartbeats, they stood in the kitchen, neither of them speaking as they shared the silence. But the air between them was thick with unspoken words, a shared memory of what had transpired earlier in the night—their lovemaking, the way they had finally taken time for themselves, their bodies entwined in the passion that had been building up for days, weeks even.
Stacey could still feel the lingering effects of their earlier time together, the soreness in her body a reminder of how much they had missed each other. Aiah, with her fierce and confident exterior, always became so tender and loving when it was just the two of them. In those private moments, she was Stacey's everything—her lover, her protector, her partner.
Aiah set the empty glass aside and leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to Stacey's lips, her touch gentle, almost reverent. Stacey kissed her back, melting into the warmth and familiarity of Aiah's embrace.
As they pulled away, Stacey rested her forehead against Aiah's, their noses brushing as they both smiled softly. "I missed you," Stacey whispered, her voice barely audible, but filled with emotion.
"I missed you too," Aiah replied, her tone equally soft. "These past few weeks have been crazy. I hate not being with you as much."
Stacey nodded, understanding completely. Between their busy careers, it felt like they were always rushing from one thing to the next, barely having time to breathe, let alone spend time together. But in moments like these, everything else faded away, leaving only the love they shared.
"Let's make more time for us," Stacey said, her fingers tracing the line of Aiah's jaw. "Even if it's just small moments like this."
Aiah smiled, a rare, genuine smile that was reserved for Stacey alone. "Deal," she said softly before leaning in for another kiss. This one was slower, more tender, as if sealing the promise they had just made.
When they finally pulled apart, Aiah picked Stacey up from the counter, cradling her in her arms as if she weighed nothing. "Let's go back to bed," Aiah whispered, her lips brushing against Stacey's temple.
Stacey chuckled softly, wrapping her arms around Aiah's neck once more as she allowed herself to be carried back upstairs. "Only if you promise to let me sleep this time," Stacey teased, though there was no real bite to her words.
Aiah grinned. "No promises, babe," she said playfully, but her eyes held a tenderness that reassured Stacey that tonight, they would simply enjoy being in each other's presence—no distractions, no interruptions, just them.
As they climbed back into bed, Aiah pulled Stacey close, wrapping her arms around her waist once more. Stacey snuggled into her wife's embrace, her head resting on Aiah's chest as they settled into the warmth of each other.
And in the quiet of the night, they held each other close, savoring the love they had fought so hard to nurture despite their busy lives.
