Sheena's voice echoed in her mind, the last words exchanged between her and Gwen still lingering like a dull ache in her chest. It had been a small argument—something insignificant in the grand scheme of things—but it was enough to create an uncomfortable distance between them. Sheena's temper had flared, and before she could think, she had snapped. Gwen, ever the calm one, had simply sighed and walked away, leaving Sheena alone with her frustration.

That night, Sheena ignored Gwen's calls and texts. She couldn't face her yet, not while her emotions were still raw. Gwen, respecting her need for space, stopped trying to reach out. But that silence hurt more than Sheena had expected.

Even during their performances and interviews over the next two days, fans began noticing the distance between the two girls. Normally, they were inseparable, always laughing and teasing each other on stage. But lately, Sheena kept her distance, and Gwen seemed to be going through the motions, her usual affection muted.

On the second night, Sheena tossed and turned in bed. She couldn't sleep, guilt gnawing at her for letting such a small argument blow up into something bigger. Finally, after hours of restless tossing, she gave up trying to sleep. Sheena slid out of bed, intending to get a drink of water, when something caught her eye.

Gwen.

The taller girl was curled up on the couch in Sheena's living room, her soft orange hair glowing faintly under the moonlight filtering through the window. She was fast asleep, her chest rising and falling steadily. It wasn't unusual for Gwen to visit Sheena's condo—they were that close—but what surprised Sheena was seeing Gwen on the couch. Normally, when Gwen came over, she would crawl into bed with Sheena, clinging to her like a koala, seeking comfort and closeness.

But tonight, Gwen had given her space. Too much space.

Sheena stood there for a moment, staring at her. Her heart twisted with regret. She had been cold, and now she missed Gwen more than anything. Sheena took a deep breath and walked over to the couch, kneeling beside it. She watched Gwen sleep, her usually strong and confident face softened in rest.

"I'm sorry..." Sheena whispered, more to herself than to Gwen.

Sheena knew she couldn't spend another night apart from Gwen like this. Carefully, she climbed onto the couch beside Gwen, snuggling close to her. The taller girl stirred slightly but didn't wake up fully. Sheena buried her face into Gwen's chest, breathing in the familiar scent that had always been her comfort. For the first time in days, she felt herself relax.

Gwen's arm instinctively wrapped around Sheena's waist, pulling her closer as she groaned softly in her sleep. Sheena smiled, feeling Gwen's warmth envelop her like a protective blanket. She hadn't realized how much she had missed this—the simple comfort of being close to her girlfriend.

"Why are you awake?" Gwen mumbled, her voice rough with sleep.

Sheena sighed softly. "I was thirsty... Why are you sleeping here, bebe? You always sleep next to me."

Gwen let out a tired sigh, her hand lazily rubbing Sheena's back. "I thought you needed space... So I slept here on the couch."

Sheena frowned and snuggled more into Gwen, her heart squeezing with guilt. Gwen had always been so considerate, even when Sheena pushed her away.

"I didn't mean to push you away," Sheena whispered, her voice barely audible. "I'm sorry, Gwen."

Gwen's fingers paused on Sheena's back, and for a moment, there was silence. Then, Gwen shifted, turning slightly so she could look down at Sheena, her eyes soft but serious.

"Hey..." Gwen's voice was gentle, as if she didn't want to add to the weight Sheena was already carrying. "We both said things we didn't mean. I just didn't want to crowd you."

Sheena looked up, her eyes meeting Gwen's in the dim light. She could see the sincerity there, the same calm and understanding Gwen always had when Sheena was feeling overwhelmed. Sheena bit her lip and hugged Gwen tighter.

"I didn't mean to snap at you. I hate this feeling of us being apart," Sheena admitted, her voice cracking slightly. "I need you, Gwen."

Gwen's expression softened even more, and she cupped Sheena's cheek, brushing her thumb gently across Sheena's skin. "I'm always here for you, Sheens. Always."

Sheena nodded, her heart swelling with emotion. She rested her head back on Gwen's chest, feeling Gwen's steady heartbeat beneath her ear. The familiar rhythm lulled her into a state of peace she hadn't felt since their argument.

"I missed you," Sheena whispered, closing her eyes as she felt Gwen's hand slide back into her hair, playing with the strands gently.

Gwen chuckled softly. "I missed you too, bebe. It wasn't the same without you snuggling into me every night."

Sheena smiled against Gwen's chest, her body finally relaxing. She shifted, wrapping her leg around Gwen's as she got more comfortable. For the first time in days, the tension between them melted away.

As they lay there in silence, Gwen's fingers gently combing through Sheena's hair, Sheena realized how much she took moments like this for granted. Being in a girl group together meant they were constantly around each other, but sometimes, it was the quiet, intimate moments like this that reminded Sheena how much Gwen truly meant to her.

"Bebe?" Sheena asked quietly, her voice soft.

"Hmm?"

"Will you stay with me tonight?" Sheena's voice wavered with vulnerability, a rare sound for her.

Gwen's lips curled into a small smile, and she leaned down to press a kiss to the top of Sheena's head. "I'm not going anywhere, Sheens."

Sheena smiled softly, her arms tightening around Gwen as she snuggled even closer. The argument was forgotten, replaced by the warmth of Gwen's embrace. They stayed like that, wrapped in each other, as the night carried on.

And for the first time in days, Sheena felt at peace.
