Just like that, Mia and Char were back on track. They had adapted to their new normal, abiding to the initial routine that Charlotte laid out for them. Mia and Autumn were getting along too, after spending a few nights a week together they found themselves really bonding and confiding in each other like old times. Charlotte had enjoyed listening to Mia talk about her evenings with Autumn, she could see the smile it would bring to her girlfriend's face.
Things were looking up. After 10 long weeks, Mia was scheduled for her post-op follow up. Char went with her for support, but after a couple weeks of Mia not having any dizzy spells and being almost completely independent, the two were feeling pretty optimistic.
Mia and Charlotte were stronger than ever. The boundaries really had strengthened their relationship, allowing them the time and space to grow both individually and as a couple. Charlotte wasn't missing out on any family time with her girls, and Mia was building roots as she repaired her friendship with Autumn. Carly had also been checking in on her, texting her most days. The young girl had been worried sick about her new found friend and wanted the redhead to know that she cared.
Mia had already agreed to stick around, she had no intention of fleeing again because Charlotte was her world. But now she had other reasons to stay. Charlotte was so happy for Mia, she never really had any friends and would always spend her time at home with her sweetheart. Not that Char minded that, in fact she loved getting all of Mia's attention, but now she never had to worry about her love feeling alone. Char knew her girlfriend had people to turn to, to rely on.
As expected, Mia received the all clear from Doctor Rowlands and she was free to move on with her life, leaving the accident behind her as nothing but a painful memory. She had been wondering what to do next. Things were going perfectly with Char of course, but this was the first time she'd been in a loving and committed relationship, and after so many years of travelling, she had never really held down a real job or a routine of any kind. What was normal for Mia? She had to figure out her next step.
Charlotte was absolutely thrilled that Mia had made a full recovery, and as she had never felt closer to her love, Charlotte had also given some thought to moving forward. With the exception of their rough patch, the two lovers had been together for almost 9 months, their bond now inseparable. Charlotte went back with Mia to her apartment with a proposition at the ready.
The pair sat on the sofa sharing a heated kiss, in celebration of Mia's news. They were free from hovering burdens and the two could finally relax without the fear of hurdles.
"Mia?" Charlotte started enthusiastically.
"Char?" Mia imitated her girlfriend's tone back to her, teasing slightly, which made Char giggle.
"You know how I have the girls this weekend?"
"Yes?" Mia questioned tentatively.
"Well, how would you feel about spending the weekend with us? I'd understand if you didn't want to, but..."
Mia interrupted Char with a kiss sensing that she was about to waffle out of nervousness.
"Sweetheart, I thought you'd never ask."
"Wait, really?!" Char cried out excitedly.
"Of course! I feel like I know them already with how much you talk about them, I'm looking forward to finally meeting them. Plus..." Mia's tone turned sultry as she snaked her hands around Char's waist, pulling her closer. "I get to spend the weekend with mama bear, and that's kinda hot" she said, her eyes narrowing with a grin, before bringing her sweetheart into a series of passionate kisses."Okay, get it all out your system now because I am not having another FaceTime incident this weekend, those girls will be traumatised" Charlotte joked suggestively in between kisses. Mia had a devilish twinkle in her eye, she knew what game Charlotte was playing.
"If you're saying I'm not allowed to touch you all weekend, then I'd better get you in that bedroom now, hmm sweetheart?" Mia's tone was low and alluring, her eyes roaming Charlotte's body as if she were imaging all the things she could do to it.Charlotte moaned softly into Mia's ear just to send her over the edge, before standing up and holding her hand out to lead her girlfriend to the bedroom. The two burnt off all their energy with their hot and rugged session. Mia was feeling overly confident after hearing she's in good health, and wanted to show Char who was in charge, throwing her down on the bed and tearing her clothes off with haste. Charlotte was happy to submit, and let Mia run wild on her body.
"Does mummy need a sweet release, hmm?" Mia whispered into Char's ear as she hovered over her. It took Char by surprise. Mia had never leaned into her sweetheart being a mother in the bedroom before, but it only excited Char more.
"Mhmm" was all Charlotte could let out. She was paralysed by Mia's conviction right now and was craving her touch. The rougher, the better. Char thought to herself. Every kiss Mia planted on her body turned more aggressive, some leaving marks as a reminder. Mia was of course careful to save those ones for the areas that were for her eyes only.Mia took out the satin bag from under the bed, which had her sweetheart writhing in anticipation. Charlotte was familiar with the bag, but they hadn't used it in months, since before the break up in fact. "Do you trust me, sweetheart?" Mia asked, making sure that Charlotte was completely comfortable submitting to her dominance for the first time in a long time. Charlotte nodded, struggling to form any words. "Use your words" Mia commanded.
"Mia, do your worst, please" Charlotte practically begged through bated breath. Mia watched as the pace in Char's chest quickened in eagerness, admiring her girlfriend's bare physique quivering before her. The redhead pulled out the restraints and bound Charlotte to the bed by her wrists and ankles, her legs conveniently spread for Mia's pleasing.
Mia spent the afternoon praying on Charlotte, making her crumble at her touch. Charlotte didn't flinch once, as Mia truly did do her worst as requested. Charlotte had never been so attracted to her mean redhead, watching her in control made her involuntarily squirm. The two tired themselves out after multiple rounds, Mia making sure that she really got her fill before the family fun weekend ahead. She wouldn't admit it to Charlotte, but she was nervous to be meeting her girls.
Charlotte always spoke of her girls so highly, as she should, being the proud, caring mother that she is. Mia never knew what that was like. Her mother was always one to pull a disappearing act whenever she found a new man, leaving Mia alone to fend for herself. Luckily she had Reece and Autumn to keep her company. Mia tried to suppress her anxieties, but she knew that her sweetheart would always choose her children over her. She couldn't help but worry for the outcome if the girls didn't like her or accept her as mummy's girlfriend.
As Charlotte began to drop off in Mia's arms, Mia lay wide awake with her own thoughts. Her concerns about the weekend ahead overcoming her, as she stroked Char's hair. "Mia, the girls will love you" Charlotte mumbled, half asleep. She could feel the tension in Mia's body and knew her like the back of her hand. Understanding all her insecurities before she's even voiced them.
"I hope so, sweetheart" Mia exhaled quietly, planting a delicate kiss on Char's head, noticing that her sweetheart was sound asleep. Mia smiled at the sight, Charlotte was so peaceful when she slept, and it reminded her of the future they have yet to share together. She hoped.
