Mia's mustang pulled up outside of Charlotte's ex-husband's house with the windows wound down. Him coming to the door laughing to himself the second he heard loud voices singing along to 'Rock Star' by Hannah Montana at top volume. Since recently discovering the show on Disney+, the girls had been watching it religiously. Even Charlotte and Mia knew most of the songs off by heart by now, as proven by their unflawed performance in the car.

"I'm unusual, not so typical, way too smart to be waiting around" Mia sang passionately into her imaginary microphone at Charlotte's ex-husband as he approached the car.
"So is it the kids watching too much Hannah Montana, or you?" he joked to Mia, now comfortable in her presence as they had gotten friendly with each other.
"I could fix the flat on your car, I might even be a rock staaaar" Mia sang even louder in his face as a response as he and Char giggled at her childish behaviour.

"Bye mummy, bye Mia" Violet and Lily said getting out of the car, excited to spend the weekend with their dad. "Bye girls, have a good weekend" Charlotte said. "Love you" her and Mia called out the car window in unison. The girls' dad shot them both a wink, wishing them well as he ushered two very energetic little girls inside. Mia revved her engine and beeped the horn as she sped off out of the estate.

"So, baby, I thought that maybe we could go out tonight? It's been a while since we had a date night, huh?" Mia suggested as she reached her hand over to Char's lap, taking hold of her hand. The redhead had a surprise for her sweetheart that she'd been keeping quiet, and felt it deserved an evening of luxury so that it could be enjoyed in style. She was also hoping that the evening would end up with her and Char getting freaky between the sheets later, but that's beside the point. Mia wanted to shower her sweetheart with the love that she deserved.

The two lovers got ready for their date together, playing some music in the background as they did their hair and make up. A shuffle of Taylor Swift and Britney Spears, the perfect blend of Charlotte's coy softness and Mia's confident sensuality. Mia sat on the edge of the bed ready in her pencil, knee length, black leather skirt, paired with a black, lacy, form-fitting bodice. She watched in fascination as Charlotte slipped into her burgundy, body-con on dress with a Sabrina neckline. "Baby, you look beautiful" Mia gushed, biting the corner of her lip as she eyed Char up and down.
"Ditto, sexy" Charlotte replied, shooting a wink and a smirk at her girlfriend. There was that backbone that Mia loved so much, she thought.

The two made their way out the door, Mia casually slinging her black, leather blazer over her shoulder as she slid on her red bottom heels. Charlotte putting on her long, tan, wool blend coat with exaggerated lapels before slipping on her black point toe flats. Mia had made a reservation at one of the restaurants she took Charlotte to when they were first dating, remembering how ethereal her sweetheart looked in the candlelight.

The two lovers enjoyed an evening of light conversation and meaningful glares from a quiet corner of the restaurant, as they made their way through a three course meal accompanied by the finest wine. Mi only having the one glass, as she was driving. Their legs brushed delicately against one another's under the table just to maintain physical contact, and they kept one hand intertwined across the table between courses. As the waiter cleared away their dishes from dessert, Mia excused herself to use the restroom. In actuality, she had popped out to the car to retrieve Charlotte's surprise from the boot, as it couldn't be concealed easily.

Mia returned from the car, placing the large orange box on the table in front of her sweetheart. Its reputation speaking volumes to any woman as the words 'Louis Vuitton' graced the top in black. "Amelia Roberts, what did you do?" Charlotte expressed in shock as her eyes widened at the instant recognition of the luxury designer packaging.
"Baby, you work so hard all the time, and you're an amazing mother and an even better girlfriend. I'm so proud of you and all that you do. This is just my way of saying thank you, and I want you to know how much I appreciate you. Because I do, every single day" Mia praised as she professed her admiration for her sweetheart, slowly edging the box towards her.

Charlotte's brows turned up and her lips quivered, trying to hold back tears as she stared at Mia with adoring eyes. She opened the box, unwrapping the tissue inside to reveal a medium sized, leather tote bag. It was a dove grey colour with the iconic Louis Vuitton monogram patterned in cream. Charlotte had seen the bag in one of Mia's fashion magazines and instantly fell in love with it, only wishing that she could afford such a stunning fashion piece to hang on her arm.

"Mia, I can't accept this, it's too much" Charlotte admitted in awe, as she had noted the 4 digit price tag when she initially spotted it in the magazine. One of the things that Char loved about Mia is that she was always so observant. Almost always whenever she would express her interest in something or voiced her needs, Mia would oblige. Fulfilling her wishes without needing to be asked, but that didn't mean that Charlotte had come to expect it from her. And she certainly would never have expected for her girlfriend to indulge in something so extravagant for her.

Mia reached across the table to give Char's hand a squeeze of reassurance as she said, "Sweetheart, you deserve it. We've been through a lot, me and you, and we're about to go on new journey together as parents. And I guess, I've never properly said thank you for loving me and giving me the chance to become a mother. I may never be able to put my gratitude into words but this is a start. I love you, Char."

Charlotte's heart was practically bulging out of her chest as Mia's heartfelt declaration touched her in ways that made her feel worshiped like never before. She stayed silent for a moment as she came to terms with the overwhelming emotions running through her head and chest. Char thought that if there were ever a time to show her commitment to her girlfriend, then it was now. In this moment, all her previous apprehensions for the future dissipated and were replaced by pure love, and a sense of security and warmth that she never wanted to live without. Of course she saw a future with Mia, along with her girls and the possibility of another little one. Why did she even have doubts?

Charlotte inhaled deeply, gathering herself as she gazed at Mia with intent, ready to break the silence.

"Amelia Elizabeth Roberts...marry me."
