I think i am my own biggest party pooper.
1 week after Halloween I fell sick with a really nasty virus and haven't been out of bed for 3 weeks. I've had to do all my course work from notes from Ollie, Mia and Lola and I have missed meet-ups, parties, matches.... The list goes on.
Jacob and Lola have been super duper kind.
They took turns driving to get my medication, making sure I wasn't trying to kill myself again
(Thanks Jacob xxx) and Lola made the most delicious chicken brew that I am convinced is the soul reason I am out of bed for thanksgiving today. My mum and dad aren't major thanks giving people - Christmas is when they go all out. So this year instead of going to all the fuss, me and Jacob encouraged them to go to a weekend away in a lakeside cabin.
To be honest I was quite glad we weren't going back home.
Home is a constant reminder of what happened. And I also cannot be bothered with the constant questions - am I sure I'm ok? - am I sure I still want to go to college? It's draining.
Luke came to visit me multiple times when I was ill. He would only pop in and I covered my face when he did not wanting him to see how much of a state I looked.
We didn't talk much when he visited but he always bought me babies breath - my favourite kind of flower.
Instead of a proper thanksgiving, I convinced, Lola, Jacob, Kyle, Benji, Mia and Ollie to all come to ours for a take out thanksgiving. We would all bring our favourite take out instead of an item of the traditional lunch, binge, and then watch the parade.
My kind of thanksgiving.
I had begged Luke to come but he was still saying flat out no. Maybe he was going back home? Everyone else lived over 5 hours away and didn't see the point for just a weekend.
I really hoped he would come.
Beep
I turned my phone over and if by magic I had summoned Luke.
LUKE ❤️ - beautiful I will come on one condition.
Sent 09:17 amME- YAYAYAYAYAYAY - what is it?
Sent 09:17 amLUKE ❤️ - you let me, Jacob, Kyle and Benji watch the football.
I scowled at my phone and pouted.
"What" Jacob said with a mouth full of tortilla chips.
"I guess we are watching the football today" I sighed
"YES THANK YOU LUKE" he cheered loudly and now my scowl was aimed at him.
So much for seeing the inflatables.
