We had been driving for about 45 minutes before we came to an abrupt stop in which I'm sure was the middle of nowhere.
Shit this would be a pretty could place to muder someone.
Luke evidently seeing the panic flash across my eyes and chuckled reassuring me he wasn't a weirdo who took people to random places to kill them, and he was sure I would love it.
Well here goes nothing.
Luke pulled me through a small forest and I stepped on bugs, sticks, mud and I don't want to know what else.
"Luke my shoes are ruined" I pouted looking down at my black sambas.
Luke sighed and without warning swept me up like a baby and carried me the rest of the way.
"Close your eyes" I was instructed as a big hand guided me forward.
"Suprise" Luke whispered his breath hot against my neck.
Oh my god.
It was beautiful.
Luke had put a small table and chairs with a traditional table cloth over the top with plates and cups balancing on top ans besides it was a massive picnic basket at the climax of a descending field.
But that was massively overshadowed by the sunset.
A mix of fiery reds, yellows and oranges spilled out onto the Sky, and my heart with it. The sky sang out to us and I stood there in awe of the natural beauty.
Even when I was small I loved sunsets
"Oh my god" I quivered.
Luke placed a hand on my hip "do you like it?"
"It's the best thing anyone has every done for me"
He looked at me with his big deep eyes and his lips crashed into mine.
*******
LUKE
I had kissed Eleanor wills yet again. And I loved every second of it.
Even when we were younger, I vividly remember Eleanor begging her mum to stay up past her bedtime to watch the sunset that always set behind their house.
She scrunched her nose up and made the adorable face she always did.
Placing the picnic basket up I got out 2 peanut butter and banana sandwiches (not my first choice let's just say that) Reece's, watermelon, lemonade and plain lays crisps.
"Luke these are all my favourites foods! How did you know" Eleanor squealed placing her small hand in my big one.
"Of course I know your favourite snacks, I've know you since you were in 4th grade" I chuckled lightly.
Eleanor blushed a bright shade of pink "I - I didn't think you noticed me" she stuttered.
Is she kidding?
Eleanor had been the Bain of my existence ever since we had met.
"How could I not" giving her a rare but big smile.
2 peanut butter and banana sandwiches, lays and watermelon later, Eleanor sat back gripping her stomach and blowing out her cheeks.
"Luke" when she said my name it sent jolts straight through my body.
"Yes beautiful" Eleanor looked up at me with widened emerald eyes.
"I think I like you and I can't ignore it. But I don't want any labels or any pressure. Just see where it goes without harming anyone we care about"
Oh my god this girl would be the death of me.
"I would love that beautiful" I told her softly getting up and pulling her into a hug placing a gentle kiss onto the top of her head.
I knew one thing for sure - I couldn't fuck this up.
