The only boy I can't have

ME - yeah of course I'm on my way :)

After a gruelling practise to prepare us for our first game of the new year, I was wiped all energy I had was gone. That was of course until I had seen Eleanor's message.

It concerned me.

Normally her messages are much more bubbly and upbeat but this was cold and worrying.

I was at the hockey house so I was only 10 minutes away, but I would travel miles for Eleanor.

I pulled into the driveway and knocked.

"It's open" a small voice called out.

It was and I pushed my way into the house.

Eleanor was sat wrapped around her knees rocking backwards and forward.

"Beautiful what's wrong?" I asked her softly placing my hand carefully on her back.

"Just - nothing yet" she shivered.

"Can you stay with me? It's the only way so far that I know of to stop it"

Stop what?

Oh

"Yes of course" I drew hearts on her back with my fingers. "Let's watch a movie?"

She nodded shakily "beauty and the beast"

I rolled my eyes at her suggestion but then she looked up at me with her gorgeous puppy dog eyes....

"Fine" I grumbled holding my hands up in defeat.

Eleanor turned it on and lay her head on chest and instructed me to tickle her back. I did obviously.

Ouch

My back was in so much pain. That's what I get for sleeping on the floor.

Wait why was I on the floor?

Oh I remember.
Eleanor had fallen asleep so I laid her down carefully and got on the floor.

Turning to look at Eleanor, I was pleasantly surprised to see her already eyeing me down and our visions met.

I smirked at her and she blushed.

"Were you staring at me whilst I was sleeping" I tutted at her

Eleanor went even redder and scrunched her nose "was not"

"Was too"

"Was NOT" she pouted.

I chucked at her cute face as I got up and went to the kitchen.

"Luke"

I mumbled in reply.

"Thank you - for being there yesterday" the words spilled out of her mouth.

I came back into the living room with two glasses of orange juice, placed them on the floor and sat on the couch next to her.

"Of course - always message when you need me" I told her softly.

Looking down at the beautiful blonde girl in my arms leaning on my chest, I knew she had no idea that I would travel the world for her, swim in the deepest of seas, climb the highest of mountains,

Just to see her smile.

"You snore by the way"

Eleanor sat up and faced me "sorry" and she shrivelled, embarrassed, back into my chest as I held back my laugh.

"No it's cute" I told her giving her a squeeze and she nuzzled her face into my chest even further.

This girl was my world.
