With freshly washed hair and clean pyjamas, I climbed into my bed. Trying to ignore the bad memories I have in this room.

It looked different now but it was still the same. It never would change - not really.

Instead my mind went to Luke.

I felt silly - I don't know why I expected him to stay with me? He wouldn't have done that even if he wasn't going out. And most importantly, he is not my boyfriend and I am not his girlfriend.

At least I had Reese's.

Yet my mind went straight back to Luke.

His hair
His eyes
His laugh
His smile
His jaw
His deep voice.

It's like I could hear him now.

Wait

I could.

He was outside my window!

Luke who was clearly very drunk was calling my name on my front yard up to my window.

Pushing open my window I hissed, half happy, half cross. "Luke walker what are you doing!!!"

He groaned "don't be cross at me beautiful I just can't get you off my mind" I blushed, glad he was drunk and also too far away too see the obvious effect he and his words had on me.

"If I let you up here you have to be super duper quiet - okay?" Luke nodded eagerly.

Rolling my eyes with a smile on my face, I crept downstairs.

Luckily my parents slept on the third floor so I wouldn't wake them.

Yanking open the door, my heart melted at the sight of Luke's red, drunken face. His eyes were crossed and his beautiful soft hair was messy.

"Baby" he slurred, his face softened when he saw me.

"SHHHHH" placing my finger over his soppy lips. "Luke walker you are going to be the death of me mark my words"

He chuckled deeply.

Stumbling up the stairs, Luke held tightly onto my left hip, his touch sent shivers down my spine.

I creaked open my door and Luke flung himself onto my bed that his 6'5 self was making it look very small.

Awkwardly, I sat on the chair by my desk spinning - why was he here? What did he want? How drunk was he? What should I do? Or rather what did he need me to do?

He groaned turning over and hiccupping, in deep thought staring at my grey ceiling.

"do you need some water?" I asked him softly.

He laughed and nodded.

Handing him the glass half full on my bedside table, he gulped it down in a second, staring up at me with wide eyes.

Luke grabbed my waist and pulled me so that I was now sitting on his lap.

His breath smelt of alcohol and I scrunched my nose as he breathed out.

"Sorry baby" he mumbled

I shook my head, not caring as I was sat on his lap.

His eyes locked into mine and my heart skipped a beat.

Luke's cheeks were red and puffy, I held the back of my hand against them, tutting.

"I think you need to sleep Luke" I told him, stroking his face.

He said nothing.

"Luke why are you here?" Asking as calmly as I could.

He groaned "because I want to be around you"

I scoffed "you left for 2 months after asking me to be your girlfriend. Arse hole move Luke. Some would see that as you saying that you didn't want to be around someone" adding a cold laugh at the end. I regretted my words and I watched Luke's face fall.

"I didn't want to leave you baby but I had too"

"Why"

He hesitated and I pushed myself off his lap so he could see how serious I was.

Groaning he explained "dad died, left me his millions, Dylan's my half brother and wanted to have it - had to beat him in a court and now he's salty as" he finished running a hand through his hair.

Woah

Okay

What

That's a lot to take onboard.

His dad? Dylan's his half brother?

Why did he keep this from me?

"I can't talk tonight about it - in the morning baby" he pulled my covers over him.

The cheek of it.

"Don't call me that"

"What?"

"Baby. I'm not your baby. Not anymore - so don't call me that."

"Okay Eleanor" he said softly.

I stood and he laid in an awkward silence as I tried to make sense of it all.

"You still didn't answer my question properly" I broke the quietness "why are you here"

Sitting up, he rubbed his head in pain. "Because I want you. I want to try again." Even though he as out of it, I knew he meant it. The sincerity in his voice was unmistakable.

I bit my lip in hesitation.

This was all I had wanted for 2 months.

But he had hurt me so much.

"You get one more chance Luke - and then I'm gone for good" he nodded Solemnly and tapped the empty side of the bed next to him.

Of course, I immediately caved at the sight of his dropping bottom lip.

Climbing into bed next to him, we fell into the familiar position.

His arms wrapped around me and his lower half against mine. I could feel the bulge grow against me as I shuffled onto it more.

He groaned as I stroked his arm, back and forth.

I missed this
I had missed him.

When I was around Luke, time stopped, I felt safe, the permanent anxiety I normally experienced was gone - as though I never had felt it.

For the first time in a while, I went to bed without a heavy feeling in the pit of my stomach and I had the boy I loved more than anyone in the world next to me. So that was a bonus too.

Luke walker had me totally and completely head over heels for him and his stupid face.
